Queen Máxima is undertaking an official visit to Ghana in her capacity as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health.
On November 4, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands met with major investors in Ghana and participated in a financial health roundtable hosted by the Bank of Ghana. The discussions explored how the country’s progress in expanding access to financial services can translate into better financial outcomes for its people.
In the afternoon, Queen Máxima traveled to Kumasi, where she met with the King of the Ashanti Kingdom, Asantehene Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II, and his wife, Lady Julia Osei Tutu, at Manhyia Palace. The Queen concluded her visit with a roundtable discussion on financial health involving several Ashanti chiefs.

Max is her lovely self, but dwarfed by those armchairs, just look at them, are they real? :-)
ReplyDelete....and his people live in slums
DeleteYes 12:24 the iniquity across much of Africa is hard to stomach.
DeleteAnon 23:06, what do you mean "are they real"? Obviously they are sitting on them so they can't be maid out of sugar.
ReplyDeleteYes, they are real.
Delete00:46 her comment was clearly humourous and didn’t need the serious “maid” out of sugar put down. Really! Let’s assume each other is well meaning and clever and enjoy some little humour too.
DeleteVery appropriate outfits for the trip to Africa.
ReplyDeleteI particularly like the Etro garment which Mary has too.
Actually I prefer the way that Mary wears the
Etro skirt with a white blouse because it breaks up a very colorful outfit.
The queens hair looks good tied up.
Cate.
Cate, I think she had to go for the full Etro here, given the environment and other bold African patterns and decor! I agree it also looks great with way a white blouse.
DeleteI do love her hair back off her face on both these appearances. Her 1st ensemble looks good, appropriate. The Etro skirt and blouse another rewear, I find this outfit very attractive. I love the colorful outfit and same fabric shirt, which I prefer. Its a beautiful piece.
ReplyDeleteAll rewear and all good to wear in Africa. I think she wore these clothes before when she went to an African country as a representative of UNGSA.
ReplyDeleteSur les trois premières photos, l’association du haut bleu avec la large jupe imprimée est parfaite !
