      Jacket is too short.

  3. Excellent! Stephanie wore a similar Scapa blazer in pale blue the other day, but buttoned up, and this suits her so much better - wearing it unbuttoned, I mean. Her hair and smile are still her best accessories. Has she trimmed a couple of inches off her locks?

Yes, absolutely. So much better to leave jackets/blazers unbuttoned for Stephanie. And the colors together are lovely.

This jacket is shorter than the light blue one. The cut is different.
Scapa is considered as a good brand and not cheap. In the past Queen Mathilde wore a beautiful winter woolen coat by Scapa. I saw her wearing it the last time during the pandemic when she and the princes(ses) distributed "viennoiserie" (croissants, waffels, cream cakes, raisin cakes, etc...) to the homes of the elderly in Brussels.

What a lovely jacket for Stephanie. It suits her well. Other than photo#3 in which it looks too short from a side view, it looks very good in all the other photos including the seemingly longer length when viewed from the front. Could it be that the front is intentionally longer than the back? The 3 model photos are confusing.

This is a great style of jacket for Stephanie, plus a beautiful colour for her, looking lovely over the simple column of black. Fitted single breasted jackets like this one always look good when worn unbuttoned.
One style detail which will always complement Stephanie are the curved corners of the front hem of her jacket - they create a soft geometry which suits her better than sharp pointy angled lines.
Nevertheless the jacket shows the very predictable fit problems which Stephanie encounters so often when buying off the rack. The jacket is noticeably tight on the upper arms, and the upper front of the jacket from shoulder to bust is wrinkling on both sides, instead of lying flat as it should.

Mainstream brands, even the luxury brands, are shockingly bad at adapting their designs to properly fit plus size figures.( with the exception of The Fold) It is incredibly frustrating. Stephanie can afford to buy luxury fashion, and her choices shouldn't be as limited as they currently are.
To make things worse, from an alterations viewpoint, constructed items like coats and jackets cannot be successfully tailored down from a larger size to a smaller. The tight arms and wrinkly front issues can't be fixed in this way. It is far easier to build the garment from scratch.
Until the fashion industry catches up with reality, Stephanie would be better off getting all her coats, jackets and tops custom tailored. For now, this is the only way she will be guaranteed a perfect fit. Lyra

Agree. But I would add that she should have not only top garments custom-made, but also trousers and dresses.

  8. This outfit looks so much better, especially the jacket left unbuttoned.
