On Saturday, 24 October 2026, Emperor Naruhito and his daughter, Princess Aiko, attended an autumn Gagaku performance presented by the Music Department of the Imperial Household Agency at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo. The musicians performed six pieces, including Etenraku Nokorigaku Sanben, a traditional piece in which the number of instruments gradually decreases as the performance progresses.
Gagaku, traditional Japanese court music performed by the Music Department of the Imperial Household Agency, has been designated an Important Intangible Cultural Property of Japan and is also inscribed on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list. Princess Aiko has attended every spring and autumn Gagaku performance since autumn 2022.

She is so lucky to have such a wonderful and loving father.
ReplyDeleteC'est un vrai plaisir que de voir l'empereur et Aiko assistant à ce spectacle ; le bleu de la cravate de Naruhito est judicieusement à l'unisson avec la tenue de sa fille !
ReplyDeleteI really love Aiko's dress. The Emperor always looks so serene and loving. The country and his wife and daughter are lucky to have him.
ReplyDeleteLovely comment agree with you.
DeleteLove this outfit on her, the pale colour is just strong enough for her light complexion. The style with the 1/2 peplum gives a less her a youthful look and the proportions are spot on. Her hair is a nice length , and her dad has a matching tie. Fantastic duo!
ReplyDeleteI love Princess Aiko’s hair this length, styled this way in a subtle pageboy. It reminds me of the hairstyle Empress Masako wore during her engagement to Emperor Naruhito, when she was still Miss Masako Owada. It was lovely on her, and suits the Princess as well. I do think Aiko’s bangs could benefit from some attention, though.
ReplyDeletePrincess Aiko shines in this lively color and hair style! Makes me happy to see her grown into such an accomplished representative of her country. MR
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful dress. Nice to see her at this event with her father.
