On 25 October 2026, Crown Princess Elisabeth of Belgium celebrated her 25th birthday. To mark the occasion, bpost issued a special stamp sheet dedicated to the Princess. The Royal Mint of Belgium is also celebrating this milestone with a special commemorative coin.
For this special issue, the Royal Palace selected a black-and-white portrait of Crown Princess Elisabeth taken by photographer Bas Bogaerts. This is not the first time Crown Princess Elisabeth has appeared on a postage stamp. She was previously featured on a stamp in 2002, in 2016 alongside the rest of her family, and in 2019 to mark her 18th birthday.
CP Elisabeth is looking so beautiful on this black and white picture. Black and white pictures still have something valuable especially for portraits.

ReplyDeleteDuring the past week Queen Mathilde of Belgium had 3 times visitors in the Royal Palace or the Castle in Laeken. No pictures of these visits have been published on this blog. I wonder why.
On 4th October Prince Emmanuel of Belgium had his 21st birthday. The royal palace published a new portrait of him, again no picture on this blog.
Maybe they are not interesting enough any more, all of a sudden ?

DeleteCommon, this is not a competition of how many photos per royal family are being published. Sometimes, for whatever reason, photos are pubished some days later. Let us be happy with this free royal fashion blog. All of us need to realize that the web owner needs to buy most of these photos

ReplyDeleteLove that they chose that shot of her in the commemorative coin. She looks beautiful and sophisticated with neat updo. I'm guessing its the same hairstyle as when she received the NATO delegation earlier this year.
