Queen Suthida of Thailand is visiting Japan at the invitation of the President of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) to attend the 2027 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s Asia Championship, which is taking place at Tsukisamu Gymnasium in Sapporo from 15 to 18 October 2026. Queen Suthida is attending the event in her capacity as the International Ice Hockey Federation’s Global Women’s Ice Hockey Ambassador.
On 14 October 2026, Queen Suthida arrived at New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido, where she was welcomed by Thailand’s Ambassador to Japan, Vichu Vejjajiva, and his wife, along with defence attachés and staff from the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo.
On 15 October 2026, Queen Suthida attended the 2027 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s Asia Championship at Tsukisamu Gymnasium in Sapporo, Hokkaido. She watched a match between the national teams of Japan and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Following the match, Queen Suthida proceeded to the rink, where she presented the Best Player Awards to the players recognised for their outstanding performances for the Japanese and Kazakhstani national teams.

I love this Queen, always a polish look. A little relaxed this time with hair down and wearing trousers.
ReplyDeleteThe highlight of her tours is she flys the plane herself, so cool, no one like her!

Well, strictly speaking she’s flying as part of a team, as for any complex aircraft, but yes a cool First Officer for sure. The others like her are the Kings of Netherlands and Belgium who I think still fly sectors on their flights to keep their ratings.
DeleteShe pilots the Royal aircraft a 7 hour flight to Japan. On arrival she drives her car off the runway with her pet dog in the front seat. Thailand must be proud of her.

Probably this is a little bit hyped as marketing. Unlikely to have been pilot flying the whole route. Bit strange to drive the car in a foreign country after a long flight when there’s a driver available and the roads and traffic are unfamiliar. Not doubting she could do it - but doubting she did.
Delete@19:51 She's a fighter jet pilot and recently flew her first solo flight in a Gripen! give her credit she deserves
DeleteAnon 19:51: Non-royal pilots do that exact thing all the time and many of us non-pilots land in foreign lands and drive away from the airport as well.
DeleteAnon 16:28, she had a royal reception and convoy of cars but choos to drive herself. You a non royal pilot are not going to get that kind of welcome obviously!
DeleteQu’elle est belle dans une tenue décontractée ainsi qu’avec une queue de cheval
ReplyDeleteNot everyone knows how to fly JAS airplanes but this stylish Queen does 👏
ReplyDeleteVery cool lady. She's a fighter jet pilot and recently flew her first solo flight in a Gripen! Nice dresser too - Love the houndstooth short coat as well as the jacket with contrast collar and fringe.
ReplyDeleteShe’s always well dressed and an ice hockey event could be difficult, but she looks wonderful. Imagine flying a fighter jet and posing in hockey skates all in the same week…quite an impressive Queen!!
ReplyDeleteImpressive and inspirational Queen
ReplyDeleteEven in hockey skates, Suthida looks great! Both of her jackets fit her well and look very comfortable and smart.
ReplyDeleteA fantastic woman!
ReplyDeleteThe first outfit, splendid. The jacket I love, the style, design, perfect fit. Her pants equally great fit. She looks well groomed and attired here. The 2nd outfit, another very attractive outfit, again fitting well. She always looks beautifully presented. I love her style and taste in clothes. She is ultra elegant, it appears effortless. She is a beautiful Lady/Queen.
ReplyDeleteNot as keen on the white pants and jacket, but definitely like the fit and look of the beige pants and jacket. Cool picture on skates!
ReplyDeleteLove the turtle brooch
