Queen Silvia is visiting Lake Constance for celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of the German Mentor Foundation. On the evening of Wednesday, October 7, 2026, Queen Silvia attended the premiere of a stage project organized by a foundation for young people at the Bodenseeforum in Konstanz. She was accompanied by Bettina Countess Bernadotte of the Mentor Foundation and Flavia Zaka, the wife of Minister-President Cem Ozdemir.
The official ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Mentor Foundation will take place on October 8, 2026, on Mainau Island. The nonprofit Mentor Foundation, headed by Bettina Countess Bernadotte as chair of the board, has close ties to the Swedish royal family. Queen Silvia, who was born in Heidelberg, founded the international umbrella organization in Stockholm in 1994 together with the World Health Organization (WHO).

Wow
ReplyDeleteI love silva.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful region which I visited a couple of times on my way to Austria during the summer holidays. We stayed there for 2 or 3 days and went on the boat on the Bodensee (Lake of Konstanz). I also visited the Isle of Mainau in the Bodensee with its tropical plants and flowers. The island is known for its soft temperatures even during Winter. On the Isle is also a Castle, but I can't remember to whom it belonged. Probably to this countess and family who has the same family name as King Carl Gustav. When we were there it was not open for the public. A pity we cannot see better views of the Island and the flowers.
ReplyDeleteFashion wise : Queen Silvia is wearing a beautiful jacket on a purple evening dress.
