On October 30, 2026, Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited the Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO – Vlaamse Instelling voor Technologisch Onderzoek) in Mol as part of the preparations for future Belgian economic missions abroad, which she will lead.
This multidisciplinary research centre operates in more than 40 fields and works with businesses and public authorities to develop innovative solutions to climate and environmental challenges, as well as to support the transition to a circular economy. VITO EARTH is the first climate-neutral laboratory building in Flanders.
During her visit, the Queen learned about several innovations, including Carbstone technology. This technology makes it possible to produce building materials from industrial residues without using traditional cement, while also capturing and storing CO₂ within the materials. The Belgian company BESIX used this technology in the construction of the ARAMCO Stadium in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

Until now Belgian royalty watchers did not found out who the designer of this suit is. It is a rewear she already wore on a number of occasions. It suits her and the blue color is less sad than the dark colors worn by other royal ladies now that we had a week of beautiful autumn days plenty of sunshine. To me her envelope bag is new. I never saw it before. It looks like a mixture of light silvery grey and black. I think she wore black ankle boots under her pants.
حذفLove this suit on the queen. She looks great, the color is so very regal. I only have to say that the trouser's length is off by a centimeter or two. In a way, it detracts somewhat from what would otherwise be a perfect aspect.
ردحذفThis deep blue pantsuit and accompanying attractive white blouse looks exceptionally fabulous! The style of the pantsuit, suits the Queen's contour. The jacket is a good length as is the pants. I like the neckline of this blouse and the small black buttons, works beautifully with her boots, clever addition. Her two toned small clutch, adding some depth of color contrast. It appears she is wearing small pearl earrings.

The white blouse, love the neckline as well as the small black buttons, clever choice, drawing out the color of her boots. This pantsuit would have to be one of the nicest I have seen the Queen wear in a while.
