On 1 October 2026, Queen Mathilde opened the third Her Majesty the Queen Symposium at the Palace of the Academies in Brussels. As an honorary patron of the Royal Academies of Medicine of Belgium, the Queen delivered the opening address of the symposium. This year’s edition focuses on the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on healthcare professions.
During the symposium, the Queen also met with patients who have received AI-assisted treatment and with students from various fields, ranging from medicine to engineering, who are studying AI. For the occasion, the Queen wore a tweed jumpsuit by Elie Saab.

ردحذفI commend Mathilde for wearing something unique, but this is not my favorite outfit on her. The placement of the buttons on the chest pockets seems … unfortunate. The upper thigh pockets are not very flattering, and four large pockets is too much visually to me.
ردحذفI can’t help but think when I see people wearing jumpsuits that they must be terribly inconvenient if one needs to use the restroom.

ردحذفIt does not happen often but this time I do not understand what Queen Mathilde saw in this jumpsuit. Al the pockets in the front of her outfit are a no for me. Elie Saab is a good brand and already made beautiful outfits for Princess Charlene a.o. but this one is not a success on Queen Mathilde.
ردحذفToo bad everything Mathilde wears I get old lady style because this is a nice outfit and still. Has to be her granny hairstyle. I so wish she could get a new, younger style.
ردحذفShe had her hair in already different styles. There are always people who don't like it. If her hair is longer they say a shorter haircut would look better on her. If she has to cut it a bit, not too much because she must be able to make updo's when she has to wear a tiara, it is not good either. When I compare her hair with the hairstyle of other queens or princesses it is not bad at all. On picture N°7 her face looks very beautiful and she has a beautiful profile. You call it granny hairstyle, well where I live the grannies are grey and have very short hair, because they cannot do it themselves anymore. The short hairstyle is easy for them and it can be washed and dryed very quickly. Some of them are looking good with it, other don't. When queen Mathilde will be a granny maybe her hair will still be the same as now and yours will be cut short and grey.

ردحذفQueen Mathilde looks great in this jumpsuit! A bit of a blergh color but the contrasting detailing is perfect and the fit is well done. In terms of style, ditching the buttons on the pockets would really improve the overall look. Other than those issues, I like seeing Mathilde in other designers than Natan--some of the Natan looks are wonderful but too many are not.

What a nice style change for the Queen. Beautifully tailored jumpsuit. Interesting details that keep the look from looking too simple.
ردحذفI really like the way the pocket/button details take attention from her high waist. The look is more balanced than some of her other choices. I'd love to see her in a more fashion forward shoe occasionally. I understand that simple pumps are versatile but they can also be boring.
