On October 9, 2026, Queen Letizia presided over the institutional event marking World Mental Health Day 2026, organized by the Confederation of Mental Health Spain, with the collaboration of the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and Agenda 2030 and the ONCE Foundation. The event was held at the ILUNION Atrium Hotel.

Upon her arrival, the Queen was welcomed by Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labour Yolanda Díaz and President of the Confederation of Mental Health Spain Nel González Zapico. Held under the theme “Connect with Your Mental Health,” the event focused on the emotional and psychosocial well-being of children and young people, as well as the need to strengthen prevention, awareness, and support resources for young people.
