On 30 September 2026, Princess Kako visited Ando Shippo in Minami Ward, Nagoya, where she viewed traditional crafts, including Owari Shippo, a traditional form of Japanese enamelware. She also visited the 73rd Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition at the Furukawa Art Museum in Chikusa Ward, Nagoya. Organized by the Japan Kogei Association and others, the exhibition is currently being held at the museum.
A total of 183 works from seven categories, including ceramics and textile arts, are on display at the exhibition. Furukawa Tameyuki, director of the Furukawa Art Museum, guided Princess Kako through the exhibition. She also received explanations of their works from Junki Tsuchiya, a textile artist and holder of the title of Living National Treasure, and Toru Suzuki, a ceramic artist. Princess Kako serves as president of the Japan Kogei Association.

She looks lovely and always seems to be very engaged with the people and the event.
ردحذفLovely though I would have liked a pearl necklace on the collar. The swish of the dress looks good. The shoes, if only the vamp was a bit lower.
ردحذفA beautifull dress on a beautifull princess
ردحذفThese traditional crafts are so precious and beautiful. And it is always a pleasure to see Kako!
