At the invitation of Prince Albert II, Italian President Sergio Mattarella is paying a two-day state visit to Monaco. The Italian President is accompanied by his daughter, Laura Mattarella.
On the evening of 2 October 2026, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène hosted a state dinner in honour of President Sergio Mattarella and Laura Mattarella in the Throne Room at the Prince’s Palace. Princess Caroline also attended the dinner. For the occasion, Princess Charlène wore a silk georgette lace dress by Elie Saab.

Charlene looks stunning! Beautiful color on her peaches and crème complexion. MR
ReplyDeleteCharlène est époustouflante de beauté avec son doux sourire de sublimes bo.
ReplyDeleteJ adore ce style de robe épaule dénudée. Une déesse
What a Beauty !
ReplyDeleteStrange table positioning, the two women next to each other
ReplyDeleteI've noticed this as well.
DeleteI don’t find that strange, I think it’s rather lovely to see the two women together to chat. It is quite traditional to place man, woman, man, etc. But sometimes you have uneven numbers or just wish to put people together who you hopeful communicate during the dinner either for loveliness or other purposes And there’s nothing weird about that.
DeleteSi è strano. Laura doveva stare accanto ad Alberto e Charlene accanto a Mattarella, così in genere si siedono nelle tavole di altre corti reali.

DeleteIt is not strange if there was a reason not to put Mrs Matarella next to Prince Albert and Princess Charlene next to President Matarella. And you have Princess Caroline who cannot sit down next to someone with a lower rang than a president (Mr Mattarella). And then you have also the question of the languages. I think Princess Caroline speaks Italian since her beloved first husband Mr. Casiraghi was an Italian. Maybe the president's daughter Mrs Matarella speaks English, so sthat she can talk to Princess Charlene who I think does not speak another language as fluently as English.
Ah 18:01 good point re the languages. It is horribly hard to sit all night next to someone with no shared language and so this may well be the reason. Charlene is in a perfect opportunity (time we can assume, money we are sure, geography too) to finally conquer French and take Italian too. It brings such joy to communicate in the language of the adopted country (and the very close neighbour too).
DeletePrincess Charlane looks Spectacular........🌺🌹❤️........
ReplyDeleteWhat a incredibly lovely gown, suiting the Princess perfectly. Her height is a asset with this type of gown. I love the one shoulder effect. Her diamond earrings are beautiful. Her hair up style lovely. Soft and natural. She looks very elegant. The First lady, also lovely, I really like her matching shoes and evening clutch.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and elegant Charlène. The Italian FL isn't bad either.
ReplyDeleteCharlene looks fantastic in this dress but I got really worried when I saw her shoulders /arms, she’s beginning to look like really under weight; too slim.
ReplyDelete@08:43, don't get all too worried (I suppose you are not really worried for a woman you don't know at all), you judge from just one awkward pose, cf. well formed same arm two days ago: https://www.newmyroyals.com/2026/10/prince-albert-and-princess-charlene.html
DeleteHer arms are fuller than Queen Letizia's. Queen Letizia's shoulders and arms are thinner than Princess Charlene's.
Delete8:43 indeed. I have worried about that too over these last months. It’s a very noticeable change from her previous size. @14:15 it’s not from one photo, but from long observation. And it’s not a judgement, it’s concern. Especially with what she’s been through some years back and one always hopes for her future happiness.
DeleteWe can say med ch about Charlene, but she's not a cheap lady. A $15 000 frock, but she looks smashing.
ReplyDeleteIndeed! She is not one to buy cheap clothes but rather about as expensive as clothes can be. She looks exquisite, but I would say also that any of you ladies would look equally as exquisite with the money and helpers she has available.
ReplyDeleteBoth ladies made an excellent choice, selecting outfits that flatter their figures. Charlene’s Elie Saab gown is stunning—it reminds me of Princess Catherine in her gold sequined dress.

Mon dieu la tête de Caroline, le sourire doit être en option
ReplyDeleteHey 13:33, none of us smile all the time! When focusing on a speech we are quite likely to prioritise listening over smiling. Very different from a posed photo where we turn on a smile. This is one millisecond of a whole night.
DeleteAll three ladies are dresses in their own style and look fantastic. Love Charlene’s earring and so glad she choose a deeper coloured lipstick, it just brightens her face nicely. Caroline in a beautiful jacket, blue is her colour.
ReplyDeleteCharlene is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteA very stunning appearance!
Caroline looks...?
… like the photographer caught her listening to Albert’s speech.
DeleteCharlene so wonderful! Beautiful dress!
