Those elevated to the nobility received a patent of nobility from the King, an official document confirming their noble title. Each patent of nobility is custom-made by a heraldic artist who specialises in designing coats of arms. Recipients of honorary distinctions received an insignia of one of the National Orders from the King, corresponding to the rank awarded to them.

  1. I absolutely love this dress on the Queen!! The neckline, sleeve length, belt placement, and overall length all fit perfectly. I’m not a fan on bows at the neck typically, but this small bow is a great addition to the design.

  2. Wow she sure wears this dress perfectly. I miss a little bling perhaps on the bow, even a little gold buckle, but really it looks so nice on her.

  3. Love this dress. She looks absolutely lovely. I would only say that it might be time for a new haircut. A little less volume, a more modern take on her go-to hairstyle.

    1. When we see Mathilde without hairspray and hair dried big, her natural hair is a delight. I think she doesn’t need a haircut, but simply to stop spraying/blowdrying.

    2. I agree, Anon 16:12 and 21:05. This hairstyle, which unfortunately tends toward a “helmet head” look, is unflattering on Mathilde. She is a beautiful woman who would look so much better with a less hair-sprayed, softer style and fewer layers.

Queen Mathilde doesn't use much hair spray. Hair that is treated with hairspray doesn't blow away when there is wind. When Queen Mathilde is outside and there is wind (of which we have enough during the last 3 years) her hair always is flying up and hangs in her face. She had a haircut only recently before she went on state visit to Kazakhstan. Everybody has not the same hair quality. If she cannot have her hair blowdryed, how do you wish her to look ? Maybe she has a lot of hair. Maybe she has thick hair. You don't know. I think her hair stylists know exactly how they must treat her hair.

    4. @7:30 occasionally we see her hair natural and it’s fab. Not blow drying hair is a great idea. So is leaving off hairspray. She looks beautiful like that

La luce fa strani giochi, sulla prima foto il vestito sembra rosa e invece è rosso.
È un modello molto bello che dona Mathilde, è splendida!

  5. This dress is indeed of a great fit for Queen Mathilde (the shoulders are not too narrow, the skirt is not too broad, the right balance is preserved). It's so funny how light can change the colour. The dress looks pink in photos 2, 3 (at least on my phone), and in others pictures - crimson.

  6. Oh, I like this outfit very much on Mathilde. Suits her very well (and she doesn’t have an easy body to dress)

  7. The dress is beautiful especially the gorgeous raspberry colour. It fits Mathilde perfectly with the cute bow and matching slim belt as accessories.

  8. The Queen looks absolutely smashing in this pink dress. The style and design, really wonderful. Suiting her beautifully. I love the design of this dress, its so different to what she normally favors. The thin belt accentuates her waistline beautifully. The necktie and neckline, perfect. Love the length of the sleeves. The overall look also great, seated the hemline resting perfectly. Love the color of her shoes and clutch. Perfect neutral color. Her hair looks really well groomed and styled. One of the best styles the Queen has worn of recent times.

  9. Queen Mathilde wore this dress regularly during last year. It is a beautiful dress by Dior on which she also has a jacket and a hat in the same fabric Her accessories are also by Dior.

  10. I fully Agree with 00:18. The criticism on her hair isn't justified. She probably has hair which easily take volume. She will soon be 53, she can have that hair style. She has different ways to style her hair.

  11. Ce petit noeud ainsi que la ceinture apportent de l’élégance à son allure !

  12. I always found that Queen Mathilde should stay away from the wide skirts and dresses with wide skirts and even coats with wide skirts. This style of straight/pencil skirts suits her much better. Also the length is better. She must not hide her beautiful legs behind a long skirt (unless it is a gala dress), but show them as long as she can.
