On October 12, 2026, Crown Princess Victoria visited the Swedish Police Authority’s headquarters in Kungsholmen, Stockholm. The visit focused on police operations before and after the introduction of smartphones.
National Police Commissioner Petra Lundh and Tobias Bergkvist, Deputy Regional Police Chief in Stockholm, explained how digitalisation and smartphones have changed criminal activity and how the police are adapting their methods to address these changes.
At the camera surveillance centre, the Crown Princess was shown how surveillance cameras support police operations and criminal investigations. The Police Authority also presented its new drone capabilities, which are scheduled to become operational this autumn.
During the visit, the Crown Princess also toured the regional command centre, which receives emergency calls and coordinates police operations across the region. For the occasion, Crown Princess Victoria wore a Malina suit comprising an ash-grey checked double-breasted blazer and matching high-waisted trousers.
