On Thursday, 1 October 2026, the Swedish Cancer Society’s Pink Ribbon Campaign began. Crown Princess Victoria is serving as patron of the Pink Ribbon Campaign, which runs throughout October, for the 18th consecutive year. The Swedish Cancer Society’s Pink Ribbon Campaign takes place every October with the aim of raising funds for cancer research and raising awareness of important issues.
The 2026 Pink Ribbon was designed by illustrator and multidisciplinary artist Owe Gustafson and features the pink elephant from Five Little Elephants (Fem myror är fler än fyra elefanter). The pink elephant has a natural place on the ribbon as a symbol of wisdom and the strength that comes from supporting one another and standing together in the fight against cancer.
