On September 17, 2026, the Prince and Princess of Wales, known in Scotland as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, are making their first official visit to the Isle of Bute to highlight the power of community, connection and volunteering. The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay began their visit at Bute Shinty Club in Rothesay. The club was founded in 1946 and is run by volunteers, many of whom are former players.

On the second stop of their visit to the Hebridean island, the Duke and Duchess joined members of Beachwatch Bute, an organisation that has helped keep the island’s beaches free from litter and marine waste for almost 30 years. For the occasion, the Princess wore a dark brown trench coat by Burberry. She paired her Burberry trench coat with a forest-green turtleneck jumper by Victoria Beckham and a pair of brown jeans by Holland Cooper.

A practical outfit for this visit. I especially like the coat-turtleneck combo and the cap. Great coat in a warm colour, I want it myself :-)
They seem to have had a lot of fun during this visit, lovely pictures.

I fully agree, and I am personally a bit jealous of her coat. ;-) William is going Swedish in his Fjällräven jacket, they are indeed very practical.

William and Catherine look happy and engaged. I like William’s country-casual outfit. Catherine’s skinny jeans are not my favorite; they wrinkle/bunch quite a bit. I think a shorter, more casual jacket would go better with her turtleneck, skinny jeans, and boots. She looks cute in her hat.

A lot of authenticity/good fun as far as I can see (on photos elsewhere too). The cap is so good on her, that I am willing to overlook the Return of the Skinny Jeans.

A darker turtleneck would have looked better with that good coat.

Nice casual look. Not keen on the skinny jeans, never have been and same for the hat. The colours look good for her complexion. Coat is nice.

Like the pieces separately but not together. I would enjoy this trip though.

I would have went all chocolate with that Burberry coat, but she's matching William's jacket. That trench is on my wishlist.

Coat is great, but the differing colors is odd. Don't like the boots

Looks like a fun outing! William is dressed well and I like some of the pieces on the Duchess, specifically the turtleneck and boots. The coat is too long and I’m personally not a fan of this hat style.

A jacket would have been better than the coat. Hair is a bit messy. Are they playing Shintie a form of Hockey

  15. The Princess is held with much affection and love, it shows. The enthusiasm shown by the crowds wherever they went was wonderful to see. Her outfit is perfect for these visits. I am not a fan of the skinny jeans, but regardless she wears them well. Love, love! her trenchcoat.

Katarina is my favorite. Sofia is the second.

  18. No notes on the outfits - they're appropriate and unremarkable. It looks like a happy day was had by all.
Bute isn't a Hebridean island though. It's much further south, just off the Firth of Clyde.

I like the Burberry coat, the jeans on the other hand are much too skinny. From a distance it looks like she is wearing dark chocolate tights instead of jeans. I like the Chelsea boots (if that is what I am thinking it is) on her feet. The hat looks original and young.
