The Duchess of Edinburgh has visited the Republic of Zambia to celebrate the relationship between Zambia and the UK. The Duchess began the final day of her visit to Zambia by visiting Mukuni Rural Health Centre. There, she met patients, health workers, volunteers and staff from Sightsavers who are supporting Zambia’s progress towards eliminating trachoma.

During her visit, the Duchess toured the health centre and listened as medical professionals explained how the programme operates within local communities. She also visited Libuyu Secondary School and the Wayi Wayi Art Centre in Livingstone. For the occasion, the Duchess wore a blue silk bow blouse and matching silk skirt by Penelope Chilvers.
