The Ladies look great
ReplyDeleteI so want to like what Stephanie wears, the colour is beautiful for her. The top is too short for her figure and the pants are not the most becoming look. I feel for her as I have that curvy figure and it is difficult to find clothing that is stylish that has the right proportions.
ReplyDeleteI don't think the top is too short. The pants are a slim fit. I find them becoming. No proportions are going to change your figure. Every time she wears a slim fit she gets these comments. Ugh! I think she looks great.

DeleteLess is more in her case and this short top cuts at her widest point, and the fluttering sleeves looks matronly and fussy. Lovely color on DS but an overall forgettable look.

DeleteI agree with everything that you have written
and would just add that this is another outfit on Stephanie that
is a little too snug in all the wrong places.
I have read, from various sources that her
father in law is worth several billion dollars so Stephanie
could certainly afford a much needed stylist.
Cate.
I usually agree on this but this time I think she looks great. She has a really enviable profile, if you know what I mean. She looks lovely, the color is very becoming on her and she easily overshadows the First Lady.
DeleteI agree. It really helps to have a good seamstress. "Off the rack" doesn't always work but a slight adjustment by someone who can do a little nip and tuck will work wonder for a great fit.

I think the outfit does show what a voluptuously curvy gorgeous figure Stephanie has; even if the outfit doesn’t quite sit right. The problem is that the vast majority of fashion is cut to tall slim models who don’t represent the majority of real human woman. To buy a suit in that fabric, it makes it hard to refit the pants for a curvy figure as the fabric is not forgiving. But it’s currently in trend, we see a very similar fabric on Suzanne standing next to her. As for the jacket, I think a classic suit jacket such as Suzanne’s can look better than a very fancy one such as Stephanie’s. For me, less definitely remains more.
DeleteTotaly agree
DeleteAnon 00:54: "I don't think the top is too short." If it is too short or the whole ensemble too snug - I think the latter is the case, but decide for yourself after you scrolled through the pics showing her from behind: https://x.com/ChristinsQueens/status/2105374627698749685/photo/1 . I don't mind voluptous at all. But one should choose one's outfits for one's size. This tightness is not even attractive for a slim person.
Delete“ so Stephanie
Deletecould certainly afford a much needed stylist”!!!! How many times we read that on this site… but she no doubt has access to the very best stylists and fashion houses and dressmakers. She has a beautifully womanly figure that isn’t that of the models upon which garments are typically created. No outfits make us look slim when we are not. And nor should they because it is OK to be a woman of any shape and we don’t need a stylist to help us “perfect” already beautiful clothes that we choose to wear! She’s doing just great and looking beautiful.
Anon.06:43. You are right. The fashion is geared towards slim tall females, but unlike many ordinary women, GD Stephanie could afford a tailor who would customize her clothes to match her measurements. But she seems not to do this.
DeleteI think both ladies look fantastic. I'm glad Mrs. Stubb omitted the belt. I like the color on the Grand Duchess. Good suit.
ReplyDeleteMrs Stubbs looks great in this tailored suit. Much better without the belt as worn by the model. I like the colour of GD Stephanie’s suit but it really does her no favours. She has worn some great outfits recently but this is not one of them
ReplyDeleteThe style of GD Stéphanie's pant suit is not a good idea for her. She'd better chosen the classic cut for a pantsuit. The sleeves of her's are making her look broader than she is. The pants in boot-cut style are not becoming for the GD. The color is beautiful and suits her. The handbag has a retro shape, but maybe this is fashion again, I'm not sure.
ReplyDeleteComment Stéphanie peut-elle aimer un haut aussi court? A-t-elle une conseillère?
ReplyDeleteStephanie looks lovely, but just a few little tweets and it would be a better look overall, imo. The top quite is lovely, just a little on the short side for the GD, it needs to be styled more to her silhouette. The pants, again as I stated above, a slightly differently style to suit her structural build . The color of this ensemble is sublime, its a beautiful shade, as is her bag. Not sure the type of earrings, but they look effective and of substance.
ReplyDeleteThe First lady, imo looks faultlessly good. Love this suit. The jacket fits perfectly, love the length. The color is very attractive. Her pants are perfect, fitting beautifully. Love the color of her clutch, splendid and her shoes. She appears to be wearing a subtle necklace. She always looks perfectly groomed and attired. I like her choice and clothing she chooses.
A perfect pantsuit on Mrs. Innes-Stub (thanks God she didn't put on the belt). I don't like slightly square noses of her shoes.
ReplyDeleteShe needed to wear belt.
ReplyDeletePoor choice from GDS. Bell sleeves add width at the hips. Unflattering cut and fit on the trousers accentuate the hips. Colour is lovely, this could have been a lovely flattering dress instead!
ReplyDeleteLa Première Dame a belle allure dans ce tailleur-pantalon Andiata ; c’est bien qu’elle ne l’ai
ReplyDeletepas ceinturé !
This color is beautiful on Stephanie and her hair looks gorgeous, as usual. I like her top, including the sleeves. I think pants in a less snug/spandex-looking material would look better on her (and on pretty much everyone, for that matter). Not baggy pants, just straight-leg in a different material. These look borderline like yoga pants in some of the pictures because of how snug the material is. I like the cut and style of Mrs. Innes-Stubb’s suit, but the color is pretty bland.

Ach. The lilac colour looks good. I also like the bell sleeves, I truly do. But that was it. The top is too tight on her, also might be a tad too short. The trousers, well, okay-ish. Mrs. Innes-Stubb is her elegant self again.
ReplyDeleteBoth ladies look good. Stephanie looks very pretty in this color--it is a soft and very feminine shade that flatters her. Her trouser suit needs a bit of tweaking. Add a bit of length to the top so that it does not cut her off just below her hips and at the top of her thighs. The trousers need to be sized up a tad as they are a bit too tight. Also, the flare of the trousers does not work for her--a soft, straight-leg would look better on her. I'm glad to see she is no longer wearing shapeless wide legged trousers. Mrs. Innes-Stubbs is wearing a beautiful suit but the color is blah and does nothing for her. It needs at least a pop of color near her face as this color essentially washes her out. I'm on the fence about the belt--I can see it might look good on her because of her slim figure but I also think the suit looks wonderful without the belt.

If I were in GD Stephanie’s position I’d have most of my clothes custom made. I don’t see any reason at all for her to struggle with poor fit or unflattering proportions. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteGD Stephanie ensemble is very poorly fitted. You can see it pulling across the chest. The trouser is not the most flattering of choices. You can see the pulling on the thigh. Clinging in rear area. I’m unsure why she doesn’t have garments purchased for her that suit her coloring height and body shape.
ReplyDeleteIn comparison the First Lady Andiata suit is perfectly fitted. Looking at the model, the trouser looks drape over the shoe, were as on Mrs Stubb it looks hemmed so that trouser sits neatly without creasing.
Lowri.
