Queen Sofia visited New Orleans to attend events held as part of the III America and Spain 250 Symposium, Spain and the American Revolution along the Mississippi River, organised by the Queen Sofía Spanish Institute and The Historic New Orleans Collection. The Queen attended the symposium at the Williams Research Center in New Orleans.
Queen Sofía took part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the statue of Bernardo de Gálvez as part of the III America and Spain 250 Symposium in New Orleans. The Queen then visited the Chalmette High Cultural Arts Center in New Orleans, where she met with descendants of Spanish settlers known as Isleños.
I preferred the outfit Queen Sofia wore upon arrival. The dark brown pants and dark trainers she wore afterwards are not looking good. The white jacket is lovely. She wore 2 beautiful different white or off/white handbags with her outfits.

ReplyDeleteThe white jacket fits perfect, though the brown pants seem a tad long, perhaps because of the shoes. The pink jacket is very modern and a nice colour in her. The necklace with the brown and white outfit ties the pieces together
ReplyDeleteThe pink jacket is lovely. Great outfit. Not so keen on the other one with the brown trousers and the white jacket which is a bit like what my dentist wears. What a great person she is, still working to represent Spain when, at almost 88, she might be entitled to put her feet up and relax
