On September 2, 2026, Queen Mary of Denmark attended Dansk Erhverv’s Annual Day 2026 at Bella Center in Copenhagen. There, the Queen visited a number of company stands, where concrete inventions in the fields of quantum technology, defence technology and biotechnology were on display. Danish Chamber of Commerce is the network for companies within Retail, Service, Transport, Tourism and Health industries in Denmark.
Afterwards, Queen Mary presented the Dansk Erhverv Award 2026. This year’s award went to the Business Emergency Preparedness Initiative, which works to connect the needs of public authorities with the resources of businesses in the event of a national crisis. For the occasion, the Queen wore a silk blouse by Lanvin Paris.
Lanvin Satin Pussy-bow Blouse

I love the top, but I think ( given the fact that 2 ladies on the stage wearing a pant- suit) that Mary"s suit could have looked better with a midi skirt instead of long one
ReplyDeleteI love this Lanvin blouse on Mary. It actually looks like a lovely short jacket. She wears it so well with the black skirt, the latter which itself has a beautiful flow to its shape.

Something about this outfit looks out of balance to me - maybe the long waist sash combined with the long skirt looks too vertical/elongated. I really like Mary’s shoes with the contrasting trim.

Agree about the too long waist sash. Nevertheless Mary looks elegant and poised.
DeleteOverall I like her outfit though the top looks a bit like a bathrobe. She’s very elegant as usual.
ReplyDeleteAgree about hte bathrobe. The top would look better without those hanging straps or whatever they are.
ReplyDeleteYes Josee, the queen is definitely in mourning for king Olaf, just like the Swedish court, and I think she has done very well here, black and white, although she could have worn the pussy bow instead of the hanging parts, a more feminine look.

Virginia, mourning for king Harald, king Olav was his father.
DeleteThis is a lovely ensemble, a little different to what she normally wears, top wise. Love the necklace, nice, subtle.
ReplyDeleteStunning outfit, I love the skirt length and flow. The top is an interesting contrast; could do without the dangly bit which for me can almost never make a well shaped blouse or jacket look better. Less is absolutely more = my fashion preference.
Paloma.
Lanvin calls this blouse "pussy bow blouse". Mary refrains from binding it either as a real pussy bow or just binding it at the top and let the rest hang straight down like in the model photo. She does what she does like no one else with so much taste and ingenuity: changes the design to her own taste and I find it excellent. Instead of binding at all, she lets it fall in a slanted line, fixed in place with a thin belt that she can wear so well. It is unique, playing with the straight lines instead of disturbing them by means of a bow. I really adore her taste.
ReplyDeletePer mi, una de les reines més elegants d'Europa. En el sentit més ampli de la paraula. En aquesta indumentària, per això, hagués triat les sabates totalment negres per això.
ReplyDeleteI like the overall outfit Mary is wearing except the skirt is way too long and would look better at calf length. The top is interesting but I don't like the tie hanging down the way it does. It's distracting. If she made some improvements this would be a great outfit.
ReplyDeleteI think the first event was daytime and the second was evening and that the longer skirt is very evening appropriate and elegant. I love that length!
DeleteThough I can appreciate QM’s innovative fashion choices, this look, with the longer tail of the blouce paired with the longer skirt gives an off balance look. Maybe if she’d have worn a straight knee length skirt, and shortened the drapes of the bow, it would given a more balanced look.
ReplyDeleteLowri.
I appreciate your suggestion about the knee length skirt. But I think it would send an office outfit vibe, and the long skirt choice is quite elegant. I wish the bow was tied.
DeleteWhat great look for Mary. As always in style.
