On 16 September 2026, Queen Letizia of Span presided over the II Tribute to Nursing, an event bringing together healthcare professionals, experts and institutions under the theme “Caring for the Mind Is Caring for Life”, organised by the newspaper La Razón. Upon arriving at the headquarters of La Razón, Queen Letizia was received by Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence María González Veracruz.
This second edition continued the tribute held last year under the title “Beyond Vocation”, which focused on oncology nursing and the profession’s main challenges. The event once again highlighted the role of nursing in the healthcare system and the need to continue working towards greater recognition of the profession.

حذفI think it’s a very limiting perspective to say that women can’t wear florals if they want to look professional. I’m sick of us having to follow a more masculine style to look professional. Professionalism comes from how we show up, how we act, how we speak - not from floral or block colour outfits.

Anon. 18:43. Professional style doesn't equal masquline style. That's about a neat, polished look. If a man showed up in a shirt with floral print as on Letizia's dress, he wouldn't be perceived the same way as when he wore a suit, regardless of what he spoke or how he acted.
حذفI agree, professional does not mean "masculine" or "power suit" (I detest the expression). Somehow, florals have a certain quirliness that does not quite fit the topics of your usual royal agenda. Same applies to every all too colourful bold print. The Late Queen Elizabeth II was right saying that outfits in bold (but block) colours make her visible - visible yes, but avoiding the slightest impression of attention seeking. - Avoiding bold florals and patterns has nothing to do with denying one's own femininity.

حذفLove love this dress on her. Now the shoes I like the look from the side but not from the front for some reason. The lady in the blue suit. The skinny short tight pants with the boxy jacket make her look out of proportion. Something just looks off balance.CH has such feminine wearable designs.

Big no for me. Shirtwaist dresses should disappear out of fashion, the longer the better, IMHO. I can't help associating them with "headmistress on her free day going to town, amply covered against male eyes". Terrible. So very much un-Letizia.

ردحذفI love the beautiful fuschia colour of the flowers but the print is a bit large. It's just my personal prefererence but smaller prints especially for someone with a slim frame like Letizia is more flattering..

I love Carolina Herrera, I love florals and I love this shade of pink, but the overall look is just not working for me, but for what I can read many dislike the price....is it the long sleeves? All of it screams summer, but the long sleeves? I don't know.

I love this dress! The floral pattern, color vibrancy, style of dress, the flair of her skirt, in all, lovely! I don't like dropped waists, with the belt, at her waist is part of the attraction for me. It is a little different to her usual style, another appealing fact for me. Not a fan of her shoes, but obviously they are comfortable, I have read she has feet problems, having them myself, comfort sometimes overrides the overall look of the shoe. Her white bag looks good, great choice.
ردحذفA very disappointing dress by Carolina Herrera. This is not what we are used from this disigner. I like the colouring of the dress but that's all.
ردحذفI like this dress and the shoes, but the vivid floral pattern and white color of the shoes and purse seem more like an outside summer event look to me.

In my opinion, a white belt to define her waist, and white kitten heels would be an improvement.
