On the evening of September 3, 2026, Queen Camilla attended the “Letters Live 2026” event at the Royal Festival Hall in London, where she read a letter from the late Queen Mother to poet Edith Sitwell, in which she thanked her for sending an anthology of poems to comfort her as she grieved the death of her husband, King George VI. ‘Letters Live’ is a live celebration of the enduring power of literary correspondence.

Queen Camilla joined the show alongside other cast members, including Jessie Buckley, Simon Callow, Olivia Colman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Dame Harriet Walter, Rob Rinder, Sara Pascoe and others. The show raised funds for the National Literary Trust, of which the Queen is Patron. For the occasion, Queen Camilla wore a ruffled sapphire-blue dress by Fiona Clare.

    Q.Camilla always looks good in blue and this particular shade is no exception. It looks great on her. The dress style is good too but a little too much perhaps, between the frilly bib and the mullti-detailed sleeves. I'd say keep the bib but get rid of the top part of the 'mutton leg' style of sleeve. Or else keep the top part and remove the sleeve frill and just have a plain, longer sleeve. But irrespective of my thoughts, she looks very good.
