On September 7, 2026, Princess Leonor began her university studies at the Getafe Campus of Carlos III University of Madrid, where, like her, more than 3,000 new students began classes and will get to know many of their fellow students over the next four years.
The Princess will study for a degree in Political Science. The degree, which is offered at the Getafe Campus, includes subjects related to Political Science, the Humanities, Law, Economics, Sociology, History and International Relations, among others.
At the entrance to the Adolfo Posada building on the university’s Getafe Campus, the Princess was welcomed by UC3M Rector Ángel Arias, Vice-Rector for Students Pilar Otero and Dean of the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences Antonio Descalzo.
I hope, above all else, that she can enjoy her time there with many good friends and learning, without any bother from outsiders or the media.
