Princess Anne Meets MND Fundraisers at the University of York

Sir Kevin Sinfield was greeted by Princess Anne on the second day of his final annual endurance challenge in support of motor neurone disease (MND) charities. The Princess also met members of the MND community at the University of York Athletics Track as part of the challenge’s Extra Mile event, with supporters joining Sir Kevin along the route.

The rugby league legend and fundraiser is aiming to complete seven ultramarathons in seven days, inspired by his close friend and former teammate Rob Burrow, who died in 2024 after living with MND for more than four years. Princess Anne has served as Royal Patron of the Motor Neurone Disease Association since 2008.
