On 28 September 2026, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco visited Metz, France, on the final day of Pope Leo XIV’s four-day visit to France to attend the European Peace Meeting, which brought together European leaders around the themes of peace and unity. The Princely Couple were invited to attend the meeting by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron.
Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, accompanied by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, attended a meeting with Pope Leo XIV at the Robert Schuman Convention Centre in Metz. For the occasion, Princess Charlene wore a wool and silk embroidered cropped jacket by Dior.

What a lovely jacket Charlene is wearing, the embellishment around the neck adds just the right amount of glam. Pants to a meeting is okay for me and glad she wore white as she is entitled to do. Though the black dress fits to a tee, I am not a fan of the exposed zipper look. And the little bit of bling on the black shoe looks great. The exposed white pleat in the skirt is well placed. That dress looks very nice on her.

حذفShe’s entitled to wear white as the most senior royal lady of a catholic country. It’s called the “privilege du blanc” and is bestowed upon only a very few ladies in this world. So yes, she is entitled as you can be to wear white.

حذفI do think it’s traditional Lisa, yes, for royal women to be very conservative in their dress choices to visit the pope. Charlene wore trousers at Harald’s funeral as well when ALL other dignitary ladies were in dresses. She looks great, and is taking a step away from tradition and possibly protocol.
حذفAlthough Princess Charlene has the right to wear a complete white outfit, she would have looked better to wear black pants. The white pants are plenty of creases what would have been less visible with black pants. I like the beautiful details on the necklines of her jacket. I also like the smaller version of the Lady Dior in white (Queen Mathilde has the big version in white, but I saw Princess Elisabeth with it on 2 o 3 occasions. So I think Queen Mathilde will stick to her wine red version of the same handbag, which she has used often lately. Perhaps her daughter can keep the white one).
ردحذفA couple of years ago or even longer the visible zipper was fashion. I am not a fan of an exposed zipper look. Otherwise I love Brigitte Macron's black little dress with the white pleat and the white details as well as her black shoes. It suits her like a glove.
