On August 1, 2026, the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, attended the semi-final match between Team Australia and Team Jamaica on day nine of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. They also met with athletes competing in the Games whose careers have been supported by the charity SportsAid.
The Princess of Wales has been Patron of SportsAid since 2013. Sporting stars whose early careers were supported by SportsAid include Sir Chris Hoy, Ellie Simmonds, Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, and Tom Daley. For the occasion, the Princess of Wales wore a dark racing green cashmere jacket by Ralph Lauren, while Princess Charlotte wore a polka-dot dress by Guess.

Beautiful deep green jacket — a great color for Catherine. Details of Charlotte’s deep green trim on her charming summer dress coordinate. To me, the boys resemble the Middletons, especially Grandfather Michael with deep set eyes. This fortunate as Windsor men do not age particularly well. Charlotte looks like HLM, as she has from birth.

With regard to how the Windsor men age, I would say that King Charles is very much an exception to that; I think that he has become much more attractive and robust-looking as an elderly man than he was in his youth. Prince Michael of Kent has also aged beautifully.

حذفI have always thought that Prince Louis resembled Michael Middleton but look at pics 4 and 6 and look for photos of Prince Edward when he was that age! I’ve always thought that there is a similarity between Prince William and his uncle. I.was on early shift yesterday morning in the. Concourse but had finished by the time the Wales’s appeared. Gutted to have missed them.

The whole family came out. I was hoping there would be more support for the Commonwealth Games. They were much different when I was younger. Princess Charlotte's dress is cute. The green jacket with blue striped white shirt on the POW doesn't work to me. Nice to see Prince Louis. Look at his teeth.
ردحذفThe King and Queen were here for the opening ceremony. Duke of Edinburgh has been here for five or six days, visiting various sports and speaking with athletes, spectators and volunteers. No fuss, no publicity. He and the Duchess have been here for all of the last two days, Princess Anne and Sir Tim were here earlier in the week and the Wales’s yesterday That’s all the senior royals. What more do you want?

The Ralph Lauren jacket is nice but I wouldn't have paired it with that sweater or skirt. The kids look nice and tall for their age. The woman with the grin who knows her picture is being taken with the famous people would probably be me.

ردحذفThe green jacket is beautiful. Love the color and style. On this rare occasion, I don't like the combination, skirt and especially the top. The shoes and bag also are a are miss, no blending of pieces together

ردحذفI'd worn a white plain sweater or top with the white pleated skirt under the green blazer. Green shoes if possible. The green of the blazer is rather special. Maybe a pair of black shoes would be the best choice, if the same green of the blazer cannot be found.
Charlotte's dress is almost too small for her. I think I saw her already in this one. By next summer she cannot wear it anymore.
The boys are fine with their shirts. I think it is the first time I've seen them without a jacket to watch a sports game. I am just thinking when I look at the last picture, the princes are wearing both long pants now in the summer. When they were little toddlers they had to put shorts on when it was freezing in december.
Don't like this combo at all. Give old lady vibes. Doesn't mach. Charlotte on the other hand look very cute in her dress, but hav e to laugh. Where Estelle got critizised for a short skirt Charlotte is not. Just to point out, I don't think either of these two princesses dresses are too short. I just see the irony on how different these royals are treated.
