On August 19, 2026, Queen Mary of Denmark visited Momentet in Gentofte, Copenhagen, a residential facility providing social and psychiatric support operated by the Deaconess Foundation (Diakonissestiftelsen), where she met with some of the residents. The Queen is the patron of Diakonissestiftelsen. Momentet provides accommodation and support for young adults aged 18 to 35 who face mental health and social challenges.

Diakonissestiftelsen is a large site in the Frederiksberg district, owned by the Danish Deaconess Community and used for various social and healthcare-related activities, including a care home for older people and nursing education. Diakonissestiftelsen was founded in 1866 at the initiative of Crown Princess Louise, the wife of the future King Christian IX.

The outfit is ordinary and boring. I like delightful colors and fancy clothes that announce a visit by a queen!

19:36 am sure your opinion is shared by many and I do like the way you wrote it. As in, not “she got it wrong”, but what your prefernce is. Whereas my opinion is that it’s wonderful to see her dressed simply, and I think for the people she’s visiting, it possibly makes it easier to have a chat and removed a formality barrier. Her jacket and blouse are lovely … the trousers by rights should be hemmed up to not drag on the ground. I don’t like the style at all… the dragging and dirtying the fabric seems wasteful and the cut isnt flattering even to Mary.

    2. I really don't know what you're talking about. Perhaps you might like to re-read the cause of Mary's visit. It is about young people who face serious mental problems. I think it is wise to put on kind of casual, neutral clothes.
Mary is dressed appropriately. She looks very good.

These street sweeper pants need to come to an end asap. They just make the wearer look so awfully sloppy

Agree…and pants that drag on the ground…no! They probably were very expensive too.

It's Mary's shoes which I notice (pic 6). They look so awkward, being the wrong size and shape for her feet, with none of her toes fitting into the toe box of the shoe! :(
However I very much like the concept of animal print footwear with the colour scheme of her outfit. Lyra

This is a neat and well groomed outfit - good fit, except for the a-bit-too-long pants. I like the blouse, has some detail without being overly fussy. A nice for choice for the people she will be meeting with, imo. She doesn't need to bowl them over with an outrageous colorful outfit.

  6. I love the brown jacket, the fit and length of the jacket I like. Her pants another yes from me. Love her two toned shoes.
