Princess Ingrid Alexandra is studying at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Oslo this autumn. On August 10, 2026, Princess Ingrid Alexandra was welcomed to the university. Rector Ragnhild Hennum, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Anne Julie Semb, and Student Parliament President Anna Bergum Furset welcomed the Princess at Villa Eika.
Princess Ingrid Alexandra began her bachelor’s degree in social sciences at the University of Sydney in Australia in autumn 2025. The three-year programme focuses on international relations and political economy. Her period of study in Oslo is part of this degree programme, and she is attending the University of Oslo as an exchange student from the University of Sydney. Following Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s recent lung transplant, the Princess has chosen to continue her studies at the University of Oslo to remain closer to her family.
On this occasion, Princess Ingrid Alexandra wore a Ranch jacket from Larriet, an Australian clothing brand based in Melbourne. Although the jacket she wore has been slightly updated for the current season, similar styles are currently available on Larriet’s website: Larriet
