Just days before her 38th birthday on August 8, Princess Beatrice, the eldest daughter of Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was photographed shopping at the iconic Fortnum & Mason department store in central London. Princess Beatrice wore a navy blue cotton midi shirt dress by Kitri Studio. She previously wore the dress during a visit to the Bluebird restaurant in London in May 2023.

ردحذفShe is a Princess and as such, she will be photographed as different kinds of other famous people (royals included) too. If she does not give up her title, and she does not seem to want to do it, then she has to tolerate the public interest - exactly as she has always done that. As for fashion, one can go to a store in simple jeans and a sweater and look good. This dress is sure expensive, but that does not make it pretty or at least Beatrice looking good in it. Quite to the contrary. I never understand why commenters here feel the need to "protect" royals in one way or another if their outfit gets negative critic ...

Look, she is a princess, lives in St. James' Palace (very near to where she was shopping) - both circumstances are her choices. This comes with elevated visibility and she never had a problem with that. So why should we make this a problem for us.

حذفThere is so much pressure to smile put on female celebrities, while the men can scowl as much as they like, without getting adverse remarks. It is a double standard.
For example, take Felipe, nearly every single photoshoot of him in the last year or so shows a downturned mouth. Even in videos his lips smile, but his eyebrows stay tense and furrowed. Perhaps affairs of state are weighing him down. And Carl-Gustav has a trademark glare which he has been doing for photoshoots for years.
I think we should be very careful not to adopt the priorities of paparazzi and the celebrity industry as our own. Lyra
Interesting to see her ‘everyday’ wear. Not keen on the shoes, no support, almost like going bare foot. The dress seems to have a lot of fabric, otherwise it is okay, nice and comfy. I have never been a fan of her fashion choices, but this is okay.

حذفThe tiered effect just above the knee line, I dislike, this doesn't look good. It spoils the overall look of this dress, the rest of it is quite nice.
ردحذفAva I agree with you. Without that bottom tier the dress would be very attractive. It does not even suit the model who looks reatively tall. Just too much ruching and gathering all over distracts from the complicated attractive upper half. Pity it is the sort of garment that suits the hourglass shape of both the York sisters.

She is a princess out and about, no harm in photos, she is quite used to being followed since for ever, the family drama doesn’t help. As mentioned above she could have smiled even if she is angry at being photographed.
حذف@Anon 03:53: this photo was made in a widely public place. Not zooming in onto a private yacht, not sneaking up while she is somewhere where she can reasonably think that she is alone. That makes the big difference! This here is not really what paps do - this is simply public space, it could have been anyone seeing her among other people and making a picture. So come on, don't make yourself to a moral instance without any reason for that!

ردحذفOn 23rd July King Philippe and Queen Mathilde were walking in a wood in Han-sur-Lesse (a touristic spot nearby the castle of Ciergnon, Belgium) all by themselves when they encountered a group of girl scouts from the Province of Limbourg (Belgium). The girls called them and the King and Queen started a friendly conversation with them. They girls asked if they could make a photo. The king and queen said it was OK and a groups photo was made. It only appeared yesterday in the Belgian newspapers and on the internet. The girl scouts told everyone what friendly people King Philippe and Queen Mathilde are and so down to earth. Now of course we all know the king and queen did not left the country immediately after the national day on 21st July to go to their vacation house in France. In the meantime they probably did. That is how a normal royal couple react when they risk to be photographed. That is how royals make themselves loved by the ordinary people.
