I like the fit of the top, but not keen on uneven hems, and ankle buckle shoes. The belt is a good addition, however for some reason the grommets look cheap. Love her handbag.

She used the side road at the back to avoid the paparazzi, invasion of her privacy lately!

Poor thing. Must be horrible to be hounded by photographers.

There is only one lane leading to the church, which is a public place. If others parked anywhere near the church, they had to park in the same lane. There is no problem with taking photos of royals in a public place in the UK. There may be issues if you use the pictures for a commercial purpose, which is not the case here. - Ellie

4:52 thanks for your insider knowledge on the lane! I’d draw a distinction with “no problem taking photos of royals in public places” and suggest that while there may be none legally, emotionally it must be a terrible problem to feel stalked and surprised by photographers taking the photos to make money during many situations. Out shopping alone or attending a funeral (recent Beatrice examples), I’m sure she’d prefer to be left alone. V

I am convinced the "paparazzi" were not only there to photograph her. I understood that the deceased person was a well known person himself.
On funeral ceremonies of famous people there will always be paparazzi to photograph the famous participants at those ceremonies. If it is such a problem for her to be photographed (it was not like that before) she'd better stay home and send her condolances to the family by e-mail or post or whatever.

Agree with 1548. She is well aware of the cameras and there are ways to avoid them.

Can’t blame her, she does not need the attention especially at this function.

Fitting dress for a funeral. Don't care for the shoes, nice handbag. This is not a fashion show but a sad occasion.

All the Royal ladies gets criticised on this blog for what they wear to a funeral. We have to be pretty perfect ourselves the way we treat them 😜

  6. The black dress looks good and appropriate for this occasion. Not sure if the hemline is uneven or if it is the fit/belt factor ? Her black bag is nice, not a fan of these shoes, cut off at the ankles by the ankle buckle shoes.
Most sincere condolences to the family. RIP Mr McNally.

I find some odd design elements to this dress. The cuffs on the sleeve, perhaps it is the type of fabric, the uneven hem, and the grommets on the belt. The shoes with buckle ankle straps, other than matching the belt is not a becoming . Nothing wrong with the dress it fits her well. The purse is nice.
