On August 26, 2026, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden attended the 2026 Stockholm Water Prize ceremony, held at Stockholm City Hall as part of World Water Week. The King presented the 2026 Stockholm Water Prize to Kaveh Madani, Director of the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health (UNU-INWEH).
World Water Week has been held annually since 1991. This year’s theme is “Water for People and Progress,” and the event is organised by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI). The Stockholm Water Prize is awarded by the Stockholm Water Foundation in cooperation with the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.

ReplyDeleteAbdict, please!!
ReplyDeleteAre you the same commenter adding a meaningless short one liner each time there’s a Sweden post recently ? Would you either explain a little more or desist? In this case, and with “abdict” not being a word, the comment is not a useful communication or addition.
DeleteWhat kind of rubbish are your words?? You want to say something like "abdication" or "step down"?? Learn basic English and better manners!
