The Duchess of Gloucester visited the Little Princess Trust in Hereford. Children from Withington Primary School welcomed the Duchess of Gloucester to the Hannah Tarplee Building. The Duchess of Gloucester met with trustees Tim Wheeler, Simon Tarplee, Tim Lowe, Caroline Shallow and Richard Wells. During her visit, the Duchess met volunteers, trustees and staff and learned how hand-crafted wigs are made.
The Little Princess Trust is a UK children's charity based in Hereford. The charity provides free, real-hair wigs to children and young people up to the age of 24 who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment or other conditions such as alopecia.
The Little Princess Trust was founded by Wendy and Simon Tarplee in memory of their daughter, Hannah Tarplee. Hannah was diagnosed with cancer when she was four years old and lost her hair during chemotherapy. The Tarplees had difficulty finding a suitable wig for Hannah before she died in 2005.

Very nice casual look. She wears fashionable clothing that doesn’t age her, because she stays away from high fashion and wears what suits her.
ReplyDeleteYes, a lovely fresh casual look…she know how to dress comfortably and always looks good!
DeleteWell you cannot really "age" an 80 year old woman, can you? :-)) She looks her pleasant and extremely tasteful self. Her nicely layered necklaces are beyond and over fashion. I think she is really adorable.
Delete2146 I can think of several fashion choices that.can make her look older.
DeleteSuch an elegant lady! Her simple day dress and jacket are perfect of the event. It is so wonderful for her to offer her support to such a worthy charity. I love that she participated in learning how the wigs are made--she looks happy and excited in the process. One other point--I love, love, love her handbag! The straw or wicker bag with the cloth closure is one of my favorite summer styles--classic and just right for a summer daytime event.
