On the afternoon of July 6, 2026, the Danish Royal Family arrived in Gråsten, where they will spend part of the summer at Gråsten Palace. King Frederik and Queen Mary were accompanied by their eldest son, Crown Prince Christian, as well as by the twins, Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent. Since 1935, Gråsten Palace has served as the summer residence of the Danish Royal Family.
King Frederik, Queen Mary, and their children—except Princess Isabella—were given a ceremonial welcome by Gråsten Mayor Erik Lauritzen in the town square of Gråsten, Southern Jutland. It was also announced that Queen Margrethe and her sister, Princess Benedikte, will arrive in Gråsten later this month.
