On the afternoon of July 6, 2026, the Danish Royal Family arrived in Gråsten, where they will spend part of the summer at Gråsten Palace. King Frederik and Queen Mary were accompanied by their eldest son, Crown Prince Christian, as well as by the twins, Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent. Since 1935, Gråsten Palace has served as the summer residence of the Danish Royal Family.
King Frederik, Queen Mary, and their children—except Princess Isabella—were given a ceremonial welcome by Gråsten Mayor Erik Lauritzen in the town square of Gråsten, Southern Jutland. It was also announced that Queen Margrethe and her sister, Princess Benedikte, will arrive in Gråsten later this month.

Tout de suite, jai remarqué l'élégance du prince Vincent qui est en train de dépasser son père ; d'ici quelque temps, il va en faire craquer plus d'une !

Such a beautifully dressed family. So fun to watch the kids’ style emerge over time. Love how Fredrik carried the umbrella but gave it to the girls when the rain came; tiny but loving.
ReplyDeleteOoooo! Josie got her braces off. Congratulations! I remember that time for me when I was young. I was glad when it was over! (Modern day medevil toture if you ask me.) Anyway, fashion wise, everyone looks very smart and summery. Beautiful family.
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone…I too remember the “braces period” as the worst time of my childhood. As an adult, I resolved that I would never inflict braces on my children unless 1) they desired them, or 2) three physicians independently informed me and my spouse in writing that it was a matter of life and death!
DeleteI like this discussion! It’s become a norm in many of the world’s richer countries for kids to have braces .. but I’m not sure that eases what can be traumatic.
DeleteMy son had braces during about two years and in the end only at night. Sometimes he woke up without the braces (it was a system he could take off and put on himself). He had much courage and now he has beautiful teeth. When I was a kid I should had also braces, but in those days the parents went only to the dentist with their children when they had a bad tooth. I do not have beautiful teeth, lucky I have strong teeth, but beautiful they are not.
DeleteHope we will see Queen Margrethe there as well. Also, the cousins from the German and Greek family members. The family looked very nice today only Isabella was upsent. Vincent really has grown a lot. Nice outfits for Mary and Josephine.

All very nicely dressed for the occasion. I would suspect Josephine is wearing one of her mother jackets as it seem a little big on her. Colour is very nice. I sense that Vincent is particularly close with his dad. Lovely family.
ReplyDeletePrincess Josephine an exact copy of her beautiful mother! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteGreat summer fashions by the whole family! Love the mix of colors. The yellow jacket is very big on the princess so I’m wondering if it was a late addition when someone realized that her skirt is see through.
ReplyDeleteThe clothes of the majority of them are not fitting well.
ReplyDeleteYou don’t think so? I rather see relaxed summer fabrics being worn at a fairly casual event, and think they all look beautiful.
DeleteNice to see them all in lower heels
ReplyDeleteTotally agree 1:08. They look much better in proportion to wear shoes like these. Very sweet shoes too.

Delete..... "them all ? in lower heels" : there are 2 royal ladies who can wear lower or higher heels. I suppose the royal men never wore high heels ?
I had the opposite opinion, which is that flats with long skirts throw off the proportions and heels would have helped both outfits. Funny how we can all see the same photos and have such different opinions!
DeleteYes I agree, the lower heels are just lovely, and so suitable for summer and walking on roads and gravel. I think they also give overall better proportions on a woman than the very high stilettos Mary frequently wears that throw the proportions of her legs and feet right out. I hope this low shoe trend continues!
DeleteBlazers for all! their tastes align :)
ReplyDeleteAnd great family photos of them all looking relaxed together. Lyra
They all look nice and summery. Christian and Vincent both look tall compared to their parents. I like Mary’s blue shoes, which coordinate well with her blazer. Josephine’s outfit is pretty colors, but the blazer looks like the wrong size/too big for her - maybe she borrowed it from her mother or older sister.

King Frederik is not very tall for a man. I think Queen Mary is a little bit taller than her husband. I am curious to see them in Brussels in september. I wonder if one of their children will be present too ? CP Christian maybe ? It is time CP Elisabeth get to know her colleagues for the future a bit better. She only knows CP Amalia better than the others. But I really don't know if CP Elisabeth will be present at the state banquet.
DeleteMary is not taller than her husband. It must be the picture.
Delete14:19 Frederik is 183 cm, so certainly a tall man. Mary is quite a bit shorter.
DeleteI had to look twice at Prince Vincent, he has shot up again since I last saw a photo of him. He is going to be lovely and tall, he may be taller than Prince Christian. He is so well dressed, his jacket looks great, well co ordinated with his well fitted pants and good type/colored shoes. Right down to his darker colored tie, I love this. Prince Christian is a different dresser, all individuals.
ReplyDeleteQueen Mary looks lovely in her jacket a pretty blue color and her dark Navy skirt. Lovely close knit family.
Christian seems to prefer a more relaxed look like his father.
DeleteWhat a beautiful family ....Have a great holidays......
ReplyDeleteAgree, a beautiful family.
DeleteWishing all of them relaxing holidays and time to spend together as a family.
ReplyDeleteThey looks fantastic.
It is funny on picture N° 12 one can see the back of a man's head between the heads of Queen Mary and her deaughter Princess Josephine under the umbrella. But when I looked at their legs I did not find the legs of a man who is walking before them. Strange.
ReplyDeleteParce que les jambes de l'homme sont cachées par la jupe de Joséphine.
DeleteAgrandissez la photo et zoomez : une chaussure noire se devine.
Bref, rien d'étrange.
Everyone got the blazer memo.
ReplyDeleteI remarked not long ago how Dutchess Sophie "never" seems to sucefuly coordinate dress/skirt with a blazer, while Queen Mary usually does, this is the perfect example she simple looks great! On the other hand Josephine's outfit, although lovely pieces doesn't work as well, yes I know she is younger, maybe the blazer is not hers etc. but I wonder if it's the b of dy type. Or what is it that works so well with Mary's combinations?

Everyone looks marvellous. In vacation mode, but still regally stylish. Also love that Mary is wearing flats. They all seem to be happy and enjoying themselves.
