On July 10, 2026, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain, accompanied by Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, presided over the presentation of Royal Commissions to the new officers of the Spanish Air and Space Force at the General Air and Space Force Academy (AGA) in Santiago de la Ribera, Murcia. During the ceremony, Princess Leonor received the Grand Cross of Aeronautical Merit with White Distinction from King Felipe VI.
The King then presented commissions to the 111 cadets graduating from the General Air and Space Force Academy in 2026: 81 from the General Corps, 16 from the Intendance Corps, and 14 from the Engineer Corps. The mission of the General Air and Space Force Academy is to train future officers of the Spanish Air and Space Force.
For the occasion, Queen Letizia wore a pearly pink midi dress by Adrianna Papell, featuring lace detailing on the sleeves and a matching lining. While the original design included a faux pearl necklace attached to the neckline, Queen Letizia chose to remove it.
Infanta Sofía wore a white A-line dress with black polka dots by Mango. However, Infanta Sofía adapted the design to suit her own style. While the original version was strapless, she added straps and shortened the hemline.

The pink dress is such a perfect fit and I like the little cap sleeves. The Mango dress is fine, however the sash could be alittle higher so it falls around the waist versus the hip. The uniforms are impeccable as usual.
ReplyDeleteI am always a big fan of Letizias outfits. But not today. Too much Barbi vibes.
ReplyDeleteI don't usually like lace but Letizia's dress is very feminine and summery. The strawberry pink colour looks good on her. The collarless neckline, the mid-calf length and the cap sleeves are all flattering features.
ReplyDeleteThe women look lovely and this family is so impressive.
ReplyDeleteRavissantes mère et fille dans leur robe, chacune dans son style !

Beauty all around.
ReplyDeleteVery much beauty!
DeleteThe version of the dress worn by Princess Sofia is not looking good. The dress looks better on the model.
ReplyDeleteQueen Letizia's dress is a classic - each and every of our royal ladies, but especially: Duchess Sophie and Grand Duchess Stephanie could wear this very simple and flattering style and look good.in it. No frills, no puff sleeves, no layers, just perfect cut and good fabric. Letizia looks terrific in it. Sofía's dress is pretty too, the square neckline is as flattering as rarely seen.
ReplyDeleteSofia is tall! Love her dress!
ReplyDeleteI very much like the idea that HRH Infanta Sofia is interested in making her clothing uniquely her own by having changes made to this dress. I’m not sure they’re entirely successful here, but I love the effort and look forward to seeing what she does going forward!
ReplyDeleteNice to see the RF together at this event. Leonore looks good in uniform. The king and Queen always look good. Sofias dress not my favorite. I think a style like her mother would been better OMO of course.

Letizia’s dress is a pretty color but a bit much lace for my taste. I like idea of a white dress with black polka dots, but something about the proportions of Sofia’s dress looks off to me. I think maybe the combination of the zigzagging/wrapped portion being pretty high up on her torso and extending to her hips, the hem being mid-calf length, and the strap of her shoes being across the front of her ankles is what is making the dress proportions look not quite right to me. She is quite tall, but the visual effect here almost makes her look squat, which she is not.
