On July 1, 2026, Queen Letizia bid farewell to the emergency medical team of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), which will be deployed to Venezuela to assist those affected by the earthquakes. The Queen also met with volunteers from the START team (Spanish Technical Aid Response Team), who will travel to Venezuela.
Queen Letizia of Spain also received a delegation from the Spanish Confederation for Mental Health, together with professionals and associations actively involved in suicide prevention, at Zarzuela Palace in Madrid.
