Given the violent gap between the stunningly rich royal family and the Thai population, and the theme of “ a cultural initiative dedicated to preserving and promoting traditional Thai handicrafts” I would much prefer to see her in traditional dress or something much more humble than this. I find this overwhelmingly luxurious and in the context, not very palatable.

Her stiletto's are very high too. Compaired to these Queen Mathilde's and Queen Maxima's are moderately high.

Have you read her Wikipedia entry. Most strange goings-on: “ Following her parents' divorce in 1996, her mother moved with her siblings to the United Kingdom; her father then ordered Sirivannavari's abduction and return to Thailand”.

It is a weird family and I think the kin'gs wife and ex wives feared him a lot. Look what happened to his sister. I agree with 10:18 comments. It is understandable that there are so many thai restaurants and many thai cleaning ladies in Europe.
