On July 24, 2026, Princess Anne, accompanied by Sir Timothy Laurence, visited the Emirates GB SailGP team on the practice day ahead of the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix 2026 in Portsmouth. Princess Anne is President of the Royal Yachting Association (RYA). She also visited the SailGP Tech Hub in Southampton, Hampshire.
During the visit, she met SailGP athletes from Great Britain and across the international fleet, toured the Emirates GBR F50 race boat, explored the championship's cutting-edge wing technology, and experienced the SailGP simulator. The Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix takes place in Portsmouth on Saturday and Sunday.
Looking very happy there, and oh for a 75 year old, she appears to be in marvellous shape physically.

The Princess Royal is wonderful, incredible work ethic, its hard to keep up with her. She is here, there and everywhere, with Sir Tim by her side, splendid. I love her casual wear, she looks well groomed and appropriately dressed. Its great to see her wearing boat shoes, very wise. She is in really very good shape and condition, with her timetable, she is very much constantly on the move.
ردحذفDid you think I do not know what boat shoes are ?.But the people wearing the navy T-shirts with the inscription "Emirates" do not wear boat shoes themselves but trainers or tennis shoes.And the lady with the white shirt and navy pants is wearing baskets. So P. Anne could as well wear trainers since she is not sailing but just visiting. It is the same like people who must enter a gym location. They are also asked to wear trainers instead of regular shoes not to damage the floor. And did you thought that I am someone who is wearing stiletto's ? I am much to old for that. I am older than Princess Anne.
