On Wednesday, 22 July 2026, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited the grounds of the Libramont Agricultural Fair, two days before its opening. This year, the fair marks its 100th anniversary. The Libramont Fair is Europe's largest open-air exhibition dedicated to agriculture, forestry and agri-food.

The King and Queen learned about the preparations and met with various representatives of the agricultural sector, including the fair's organisers, farmers, students of agronomy and veterinary medicine, and women farmers who are being highlighted as part of the United Nations' International Year of the Woman Farmer.

The King and Queen also attended the unveiling of a mural created especially for this anniversary edition. This year's edition focuses on organic farming and the use of artificial intelligence in the agricultural sector. The fair will take place from 24 to 27 July 2026.
