King Charles, Queen Camilla, and members of the Royal Family are in Scotland for the annual “Royal Week”, also known as “Holyrood Week”. On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, King Charles and Queen Camilla, alongside Princess Anne and the Duke of Edinburgh, welcomed more than 8,000 guests from across Scotland to the annual Garden Party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

These photos of royal garden parties are so lovely to study. Anne’s coat and the contrasting jade are splendid. As is the detail on Camilla’s hat and coat.
ReplyDeleteThe queen looks good, but Princess Anne made my day!
ReplyDeleteAnne looks stunning!
ReplyDeleteYes I have always thought this was a great coat for Anne.
DeleteAbsolutely!
DeleteRoyal ladies looking beautiful.
ReplyDeletewhat stands out is the Vicar with a floral dress on top of her uniform, never seen that before!!
It might just be a neck insert she used, to make her position as a clergy woman clear. Not wearing the full cassock, I believe.
DeleteA coat I've always liked on Princess Anne. Unfortunately she doesn't pair it with the right accessories and things. I prefer the presentation by the model.
ReplyDeletePrincess Anne's green dress does not match the red of her coat. A navy dress would look much better. The shape of her black or navy hat remembers me the paintings of Rubens and Van Dyck.
Is it a female pastor on picture N° 6 ? What an idea to wear a summer dress on top of her black shirt and white collar ? She is making herself ridiculous.
There is a little bit of that green in her coat, if you zoom in or search for other photos, and there is no navy in it. She wore it once with a hat of a similar green shade too. That colour was better, but the blue hat is much more pretty. She looks fab.
DeleteFor Anne I think she has matched the red hue correctly with the green hue. A stunning contrast rather than an attempt to have something which matches. Re the female vicar, I don’t think she’s remotely making herself ridiculous! She’s wearing her collar (not a shirt!) with a dress she has which she thinks will work. Vicars don’t earn well and do their best and I think she’s done really well.
DeleteAbsolutely love Anne’s outfit — very striking. While the bold color combination and especially the marvelous hat almost suggest the look of a theatrical costume, the ensemble stops just short of that. The only thing I would change is the color of the dress beneath the coat; imo it should match the color of the hat, shoes and gloves. What a treat to see Anne looking so stunning!!
ReplyDeleteOh my…. What was Anne thinking…. Black hat, green dress, red coat… I find this such strange and ugly combo…
ReplyDeleteThe queen is beautiful dressed! Very stylish! .
What was Anne thinking? I have to go to a garden party, I’d love to wear my beautiful cashmere Nehru coat… and I’ll pair it with a beautifully contrasting dress and black accessories. Lovely. Does that answer your question?
DeleteGreen and red are 2 colors which are not recommended by designers and fashion makers to wear together.
Delete@ano 18.34 No you Did not. Because you were it, it is not an answer to my question. I think the combo is really strange.
DeleteI also find her choice of outfit pieces very unattractive. Nothing harmonious about it. Yes, colours opposite on the wheel can work together. Red and emerald green don’t. To me it isn’t surprising. I don’t find Anne has any style. She’s just great at rewearing
DeleteI watched the clip when they come down the stairs. You know what - she is almost the only one who not only does not hold on to the handrail, she does not even use her umbrella for support, just hops down, looks to the right, looks to the left and chats while descending. What a woman.
ReplyDeleteAll very well turned out and the colors and fabrics so beautifully coordinated. Princess Anne and Prince Edward are such faithful supporters serving the Royal Family. I also have to say that I think Prince Edward, DoE, looks so much like his Grandfather, King George VI!

@13:54, look closely, the hat gloves eye are dark navy picking up the navy coat. Such panache!
ReplyDeletePanache, yes! That’s the word for Anne here. Fabulous.
DeleteStill don’t like it an find it old fashion
DeleteReally? Such a terrible choice (did she ask Gemini or maybe ChatGPT?
ReplyDeleteLove Queen Camilla's choice of a very sparkly diamond brooch today. Her navy outfit is beautiful and her hat is awesome--one of her the bigger, the better hats that I love. But today's fashion star is The Princess Royal!!! Absolutely smashing look. I love, love, love this coat and love how she styles it each time out--and I cannot imagine that Princess Anne has/wants a stylist so I mean it when I say she styles it. The best part today--that glorious hat! That hat might just become my favorite hat on her. She carries off this big hat with such elan--that little tilt is saucy and elegant at the same time.

Remarquable la princesse Anne dans cette subtile association - J’adore son superbe chapeau ; on dirait presque qu’elle l’a emprunté â Camilla hi, hi !
ReplyDeleteThe Princess Royal looks stunning, marvelous to see this rewear. Love the beautiful colored Nehru coat, classic. I would have gone with Navy accessories, gloves, hat, bag and shoes. I am sure these are black? hard to tell at first on my screen, I thought Navy was the color, I don't think so now. The hat is the perfect finishing touch she looks smashing! I can only assume their is a fleck of green in her coat somewhere, hence the green dress, regardless of that, I love the look, she is the winner here by far.
ReplyDeleteCamilla looks good in deep Navy color. The embroidery of her dress is very effective and attractive. Her diamond brooch is divine, love the pearl necklace she wore, can see a bit of it!
The Duke looks very well groomed as does King Charles.
Anne’s outfit is a knockout. For those saying she’s old fashioned, she is 75. She is completely likely to prefer different fashion.
