On July 6, 2026, Catherine, Princess of Wales, visited the Evelina London Children's Hospital in London to meet patients, their families, and staff, and to learn more about Evelina London's plans to provide even better care for children and young people. The Princess of Wales was welcomed by Chief Executive Officer Gubby Ayida and Chief Nurse Avey Bhatia. The Princess of Wales is Patron of Evelina London Children's Hospital.
The Princess visited Edward Ward, Evelina London's new children's cardiac ward, and Galaxy Outpatients, a dedicated space for children and young people attending cardiac outpatient clinics and diagnostic appointments.
The Princess also heard about plans for Evelina London to become the future provider of highly specialised children's cancer and blood and marrow transplant services for south London and much of south-east England. The Princess wore a white dress by Suzannah.

This dress suits her well, drapes nicely in the skirt. Other than her hair, which yup she likes it, but back to shoulder length would frame her face nicely and not appear as messy.
ReplyDeleteCatherine's dress is simple and functional and therefore perfect for this lovely visit. The photos of her with all the young patients (babies and others) are so heart-warming.

All those kids will remember this visit for years to come but the baby held by the POW will absolutely be thrilled to have that series of photos forever!
ReplyDeleteThis dress has been worn at several events and I think this styling is the best. A thin black belt and simple heels let all the details on the dress be the focus.
I never liked the Suzannah dresses worn by the Duchess of Edinburgh.
ReplyDeleteThis dress worn by the Princess of Wales fits well, but I do not like too many black buttons. I like pictures 4 & 5 where the baby is reaching out to the princess and finally is happy to sit on her arm.
Catherine looks happy and engaged. Her dress, a rewear, is not one of my favorites with all the buttons and pleats. I know her hair is the subject of endless commenting, but I can’t help but notice it looks atypically stringy in some of these pictures. I think long hair generally looks good on her, but I hope perhaps she will take a cue from Sophie and get a good trim.

And so say all of us!
DeleteZu dem sehr langen Haar: könnte es sein, dass die Prinzessin vieleicht Haare spenden möchte für KrebspatientInnen, die ihre Haare während der Chemo verlieren? Das wäre ein außerordentlicher Schritt.
DeleteI beg to disagree, @ Royal Watcher.
DeleteHere, we can see static pics but videos of the Princess's arrival at the hospital show the very opposite of
"stringy" hair.
It looked to be a windy day so her hair might have lost part of its fullness and styling..
Anyway, that's a flippant aspect of her visit imo .
Watching children's pains (and their parents' sorrow) while being administered different sorts of treatments is extremely poignant and what should really matter.
...
I don't think you can speak on behalf of all readers, @ Anonymous 00:44
Errata corrige: *frivolous not flippant).
DeleteLove her dress it looks cool,(as in the weather) in photo 3 o hello little one. photo 4 can I and should I? And in photo 5 I can and i will.. yipee!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize or forgot that she was patron of Evelina's London's Children's Hospital. I think my cousin worked there. Not much to say about the dress. I didn't like it the first time and still don't. Looks better on the model more fitted with the white belt. I'm usually against the white belt over white dress. The shoes look like they might be more interesting than normal. Cute baby! Bless those children. Good visit.
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous photos, beautiful interactions with the children. Always sobering to think of kids in hospital and wishing all those pictured a full return to health.
DeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteShe looks absolutely wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThis was a welcome visit by the Princess. Morale of staff, uplifting for carers/parents. Spreading hope and encouragement for the patients. A visit of substance and empathy. The Princess was perfect for this visit. Especially the long-term patients. I can only imagine the excitement! This dress was discreet and subtle, perfect for this visit. I love the diamond hoop and pearl earrings, very elegant.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly, @Ava: a visit of substance and empathy.
DeleteThank you for giving voice to my own feelings about this marvellous visit.
Appropriately dresses for the engagement. Especially in the weather they are having in the UK. She is such a warm person.
ReplyDeleteShe looks absolutely beautiful......great personality and character....
ReplyDeleteWhat can one say?
ReplyDeleteGreat and uplifting visit, the Princess looks beautiful as always and more engaging than ever.
All pictures are touching but no.4 and 5 in particular steal my heart❤️
Wishing all the best and a speedy recovery to these fabulous and precious little ones!
I like the style of the dress she is wearing, shoes look good.Hair nice.
ReplyDeleteMy heart melt with picture nr.5💞
ReplyDeleteI really like Catherine’s outfit for this visit. An easy dress to wear, to squat down in, it’s simple and professional, and doesn’t try to be particularly seen. Her focus is on her work. But of course little strawberry clad baby steals the show. All the kids look so beautiful ( little girl with the flowers! ) and I wish them full and early recoveries.
Beautifully said!
DeleteThere are just a handful of dresses by Suzanne of London that really stand out. The ones worn by Harriet Phillips. This I can add to the list. It suits Pow perfectly. I’d have preferred a white belt, but that just personal preference.
ReplyDeleteI wish the Pow would wear her hair up, visiting a hospital.
Lowri.
Les photos avec le petit enfant me font craquer ; j'aime beaucoup quand il tend ses petits bras ; il est trop chou !

Good rewear, heels seem a little too much for a kids hospital visit, also dislike the hair - a ponytail would have been a better choice in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteGood points, completely agree with you
