Belgium celebrates its National Day on 21 July with activities held across the country. On the afternoon of 21 July 2026, King Philippe, Queen Mathilde, Princess Elisabeth, Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel, Princess Eléonore, Princess Astrid, Prince Lorenz, Prince Laurent, Princess Claire, Princess Delphine and Mr James O'Hare attended the military and civilian parade at Place des Palais in Brussels.
For the occasion, Queen Mathilde wore a beige raffia guipure lace long dress by Natan Couture, while Princess Eléonore wore a sky-blue slouch-waist dress by Toteme.

I'll watch with pleasure how you try to politely circumscribe what Delphine chose to wear this time - but first please, please watch the very first moments here: https://x.com/WDehandschutter/status/2079565334726479960/video/1

حذفShe herself described it as: business in the front, party in the back. It's a different dress on the backside (shorter), I hope they'll add a picture later. There is a heartshape in the shoulder area at the front, fitting with her artist theme of 'love'. That word is also written on the sleeves. The dress was made by a young Belgian fashion student.
حذفOne can say lots of things about this dress and Delphines style, but I do find it interesting and personally, it doesn't bother me that she uses this one official occasion to show her style and work with young talent in a way Queen Mathilde and the princesses can't.
Everyone else is elegantly dressed in a more classic way, as expected from them.
Donot put the focus on her, please: we donot know how she deals with her exraordinary position in this family.
حذفHow they support their military by wearing the uniforms!
I think it is quite Impressive.
Looks like see made it herself! I do love the outfit of P.Claire.
حذف@20:11, "we donot know how she deals with her exraordinary position" . It is none of our business, how she deals with it, because we cannot know it and I hate gossip. I am solely interested in what I can *see* because that is the only thing I allow myself an opinion on. And I don't like what I see, I also don't like if a member of the royal family uses a national celebration to exhibit herself, her backside and her own private purposes.
حذفlets see... first i though well not my cup of tea, but not as bad as expected... until i saw the link you kindly shared with us.
حذفWe all have our own style, but there are some rules of civility that one must follow, regardless of own status,, particularly if you are a public/siting next to a public/ figure.

HRH P Claire’s dress is very pretty and flattering to her. I’m wondering if her collar was not supposed to be turned up, because she’s turned it down in the seated photo. I like it better down.
ردحذفExcept for HRH P Delphine’s, all the other outfits have been discussed. And, I have no words for that one except it somehow makes me think of the Jetsons. That’s all I’ve got.
The royal ladies look impeccable in their respective uniforms. As for miss D. I did not expect her to show up in an appropriate outfit, she just continues use the royal stage to promote her eclectic style. Colour is nice.
ردحذفOnce again, the step sister has to wear something that screams, look at me, look at me. Sad, but it is life. Before NOT posting my comment, I would remind everyone about freedom of thought, freedom of speech.
ردحذفPrincess Delphine is the king's half sister. Not step sister. They are actually related, they share the same father.
حذفArrêtez...on ne peut même pas ouvrir votre lien
ردحذف?????????
ردحذفMiss D, I see her eclectic design in the collar is meant to be a heart, her signature trademark, it is on the gloves as well. Is this for ‘love child’? Not my style but she gets her point across. Not keen on the ringlets, but the colour of the dress is very nice. Everyone else is dressed with class.
ردحذفDelphine is an embarrassment and a terrible attention seeker with her "In your face" dressing. I feel sorry for the royal family who have to put up with her. To me, it looks like she wants to get back at them. Her smug grin speaks volumes.
ردحذفAgree !!
حذفP. Claire’s shirt dress is lovely both the colour and the style…nice waist tie which accentuates her waist. P. Delphine’s outfit is interesting as are her platform shoes. Some would describe the look as high runway fashion. I’m certain that both the style and colour and sandals scream look at me!
ردحذفI actually agree with Anon 19:32. Princess Delphine might be the odd one out, but she almost always comes with a message, a quirky design, a certain purpose or cause attached to her clothing. It's also quite entertaining, tbh. Not my taste in most cases, but she certainly does her thing.
ردحذفI have already covered Queen Mathilde and Eleonore's outfits from the post on the Te Deum ceremony. Elisabeth's change into the blue uniform is expected and this uniform is very flattering--sleek and perfectly fitted on her. Claire's pink ensemble is very pretty--I like how her accessories are a pale pink shade. Astrid, like Elisabeth, looks sophisticated in her beautifully fitted uniform. Delphine--I get she's all about showing her artistry and I know the saying, Art is in the eye of the beholder. But. I think what I am always seeing that I dislike is the flamboyance at an event that is more serious. To wear an outfit that she herself describes as "party in the back" makes me feel she wants it to be about her instead of celebrating her country. And, I just have to say it, her shoes (she always wears this style) are atrocious. In the US there is a name for them that is very crude and I just cannot escape that when I see these shoes.

Get over yourselves. One ugly comment turns into a whole ream of them. If someone dislikes a particular dress, it seems you have have nothing else to say. Everyone deserves respect no matter what the circumstances.
ردحذفBeing nasty for no reason is nasty. Why ridicule her? Not nice..
