Appreciating a dress that is mid length as opposed to ankle covering maxi dresses 👗

Lovely person, lovely face. A correct/appropriate but unlovely outfit.

  4. Oh, Sophie! This time the dress is a better length and a better colour and looks good. I'm not a fan of the espadrille style of shoe and it looks clumsy with this dress Then--aaargh! The long blazer style jacket which just looks wrong. . Maybe next outfit will have all components right at the same time

Espadrilles are not the type of shoe to wear with a dress like this. A pity now that she is wearing a less long dress.

I would really love to say that I like this outfit on Sophie, as she isn't wearing a dress that's too long! But I feel the jacket is too big for her, and the dress, which has lovely colours, could be more flattering. It looks better from different angles though, and I do think the length is nice for a change.

I want to like the look, the dress is a nice length, perhaps it is the jacket’s style that is not the best and though I like espadrilles they truncate her leg. Lovely colour dress for her. Becoming a signature look, putting a coordinating jacket with a dress, skirt or pants.

Quelles affreuses chaussures pour accompagner cette robe sans goût. Josée.

Dress and blazer: great pieces independently. Not so much together. Shoes: totally inappropriate for the event. For some reason she keeps getting something not quite right.

  10. The white jacket is nice. The dress, fits well and the length is perfect, lovely color scheme of this dress. The shoes though I don't like. The jacket I am not a fan of combined with this dress. I like her up style hair. The Duke looks very smart, his suit fits well he looks perfectly attired.

  11. i really like this outfit but the shoes ruin it. i think the jacket is great but looks too long because the shoes make her legs look short

I agree, the CONSTANT bashing of Sophie is awful and unfair, as opposed to another major royal who is treated like a saint by many bloggers. The same applies to Stephanie of Luxemburg who has been horribly attacked
      by readers.

    2. In my reading, there are lots of positive comments. Most posters have liked the dress and praised the Duchess for the more flattering length.

@Virginia: stop calling negative opinions about outfits "bashing of Sophie". In this blog, we talk about outfits and not persons. Is it really so difficult to understand the difference?? Sophies qualities as a person, as a human being, her qualities as a royal, are not the topic here. It is you who is bashing: commenters whose opinion you don't like. Stop it please.

  14. Élégante Sophie dans cette robe aux motifs estivaux et dont j’adore la popeline ; petit bémol au niveau de la veste que je trouve trop longue pour équilibrer son look !
