The Plants with Purpose Garden at the Royal Windsor Flower Show 2026 was co-designed by the Duchess of Edinburgh and Alan Williams.

The garden focuses on the importance of healthy soil, planting for pollinators, and encouraging people to think more carefully about how food is grown. The Duchess joined dedicated volunteers to help build the garden in the days leading up to the show. The theme of this year's fair, held on the grounds of Windsor Great Park, is "Rooted in Nature."

Signature look, jacket over a coordinated top and pants. The lack of belt with the pants does not present an attractive look. Perhaps if the blouse hid the button and zipper top. Clour is great for her. The floral print dress in photo 2 is very pretty and her shoes are perfect for the occasion, the strap in lower on the ankle so it does not get cutoff. The prince as ever the country gentleman.

IMHO, this really beautiful jacket would have earned fitting company, which neither the blouse, nor the trousers are. I think Sophie does not really grasp the you don't simply put on some/any jacket for warmth's sake ... this is not just a jacket worn for warmth's sake, like e.g. a Barbour or something similar. The jacket removed: the blouse could be nice, without those young girl puff sleeves. - The Duchess is really exceptionally pretty and also youthful and fresh for her age and generally. But no puff sleeves, please.

I am not liking this blouse/pants look at all. Doesn't seem to pair well together. Perhaps a belt to cover the gapping zipper at center would have helped. The blazer is quite nice and a nice staple piece to her wardrobe. Sad she does not seem to put much effort in her clothing choices, or being tucked in properly, etc. On the other hand, the Duke is dressed impeccably.

  4. Le Duc est très élégant dans cette veste finement rayée comme le blazer de son épouse Sophie !

Sophie looks much younger than her actual age. This outfit suits her very well. I love how coordinated she is with her husband - color-wise, even their jackets are similar, Prince Edward is looking more and more like his father Prince Philip - the most of the Queen's children.

  7. She looks sweet, but I find a disconnect. The jacket v the top and pants. The jacket is well made and is nice one of warmth. The pants, I'm not sure if its lack of belt, something I cannot put my finger on! The sleeves of her blouse, don't appeal to me.
The Duchess looks engaging and happy so regardless of my tastes she looks content.
Its nice to see a necklace worn with this blouse. The Duke looks well groomed and attired. I like what he is wearing.

  8. That's Alan Titchmarsh in the photos with the duchess. A well-known gardener, he is likely the co-designer.

This is a great example of what I said before about Queen Mary. She can pair blazers with almost any pants/skirts and look superb. While dear Duchess "never" gets it right!!
I like her a lot and think she looks great for het she, but indeed she often manages to "ruin" a look that had great pieces.
I can wait to read your opinions!

It’s simply not true that she “never” gets it right! What is right? It can be true that you never like her outfits. Personally I love seeing a mature woman meeting people kindly and wearing her own style. Neither fashion nor royalty about perfecting, but rather expressing our own personality and meeting our own needs. She does it beautifully.
