On June 13, 2026, the British Royal Family attended the King’s Birthday Parade, Trooping the Colour 2026, in London. Since 1748, Trooping the Colour has been a ceremonial event held annually on Horse Guards Parade in London by regiments of the Household Division to celebrate the official birthday of the sovereign.
King Charles III, Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Princess Anne, Sir Timothy Laurence, and the Duke of Kent attended the 2026 King’s Birthday Parade in central London.
For the occasion, Queen Camilla wore a bespoke Fiona Clare coat, the Princess of Wales wore a new light blue coat dress by Catherine Walker, Princess Charlotte wore a new bespoke dress by Alessandra Rich, and the Duchess of Edinburgh wore a new short-sleeved, collared heavy cady midi dress by Roland Mouret.

That family is dwindling to nothing.
ReplyDeleteAs it should be, keep it small and more meaningful.
DeleteBut royal families from other countries act similarly! For example, Spain: King Felipe, Letizia and their two daughters - sometimes also the king's mother Sofia and that´s enough. The Netherlands: King, queen Maxima, their three daughters, his brother Constantin and his wife Laurentjen - no cousins anywhere... Only from the British royal family would you want all cousins and a wide extended family to be there.
DeleteI personally would like to see Edward's children Louise and James - so far they have always acted very modestly and dignified, they do not even use the titles of prince and princess, although they would be entitled to them according to the current rules (unlike someone who does not even live in the UK, but snobbishly insists on titles that could later be monetized).

90 year old Duke of Kent was briefly on the balcony before the fly-past appearance of them all. So, he should be added in the total count to increase the number a little.
DeletePochi ma buoni
DeleteQuality is better than quantity. Cream of the crop!
DeleteMade my day!!!
DeleteNo it is not dwindling, just not having every royal on the balcony makes sense, if they are not 'working royals'. I thought it a fantastic decision to only include working royals.
DeleteThere’s still plenty of them! 😁
DeleteBooring.
ReplyDeleteWell, you seem to watch an entirely different show then than I do. Did you see the whole parade? Do you even know what all this is about? What regiment was featured? Who an ensign is and what his job was today? Do you know the drum horses Apollo and Perseus? What position the Princess Royal holds besides being the Colonel of the Blues & Royals?
DeleteIndeed!!!!
DeleteNo, not at all. You should stick to Netflix, Meghan Markle etc., AA.
DeleteGreat look for Kate, very elegant. I also like Sophie's dress.
Camilla's look is original, new in her usual dress style.
And what do you think what your comment is (and says about you)?
DeleteHappy to announce that I like Sophie's dress, Roland Mouret is so good. I would have greeted a more horizontal alignment of the hat, less incomprehensible this-and-thats on it and generally, a more hat-like appearance. Especially combined with such a beautiful classic dress, the silliness of this type of fascinators is striking. - The Princess of Wales looks perfect, even if I am not a fan of this type of stilistic strength and also not of the piping. So ... yes, it is perfect, I just don't really like it.
DeleteThese photos are the reason why I visit this blog. So wonderful!
ReplyDeleteCatherine looks terrific. Every inch the perfect future queen. Charlotte already has a lot of charisma, hard to believe she's only 11!
The ladies are all dressed nicely, the light colours perfect match well with the uniforms
ReplyDeleteSorry to say but I don't like the POWs style lately. These very long dresses (or coats) with broad shoulders and wide blazer style collar. The only nice outfit I noticed I saw recently was the blue pant suit she wore in Italy.
ReplyDeleteHow I love this Trooping the Colour Tradition. The beautiful performance of the soldiers in their gala-uniforms. No other country in the world can match this. Catherine in her signature coat is beautiful and her hat is magnificent. However these long slim-fit coats are getting a little bit boring.
ReplyDeleteThis kind of outfit she can still wear when she’s well in her 90’s.
DeleteCatherine gaat steeds meer op een etalagepop lijken.
ReplyDeleteAgree !!
DeleteAgree !!
DeleteCatherines hatt is just gorgeous ❤️
ReplyDeleteI like Sophie's dress simply lovely. But Catherine's outfit is very 1980s Outdated!
ReplyDeleteCatherine was not very colourful!
ReplyDelete???
DeleteAll these 4 ladies look great, with Catherine obviously the front-runner. The sky blue colour, her hat and her updo are lovely. I also like Sophie's Mouret dress.
ReplyDeleteThe children as always, are very cute, with perfect coordinating ties and dress to match their mother.

The same outfit but in another color.
ReplyDeleteI like the Duchess of Gloucester's look the best. The POW- I don't like the Catherine Walker&Co. coat dress very much. Don't like the hat much. DOE- I like the Roland Mouret much better on the model unfortunately. Don't like Sophie's hat. Princess Charlotte's looks cute. The Alessandra Rich is a mini version of her mother's.
ReplyDeleteThe kids are getting so big. Very nice showing, crisp, dresses and great hats, fresh summery balancing out the uniforms. Except the Duchess of Gloucester and the Queen. I think if the Duchess had picked up the lighter dots in her accessories it would have looked better and been more harmonious with the others.
ReplyDeleteMy personal, perhaps controversial, view is that I do not like this look on Queen Camilla. The late Queen wore an actual uniform while participating on horseback and then switched to dresses. This dressmaker/milliner look, while very well made still seems costume-like and comes off as play acting rather than the respectful outfit she means it to be.

I agree re the queens outfit. A faux uniform is not a good choice, wear a real uniform if entitled otherwise wear a nice feminine suit.
DeleteIs it the lining of the coat dress we see on pictures N° 8 & 10 or is she wearing a white dress underneath ? And did you see it, she is wearing high heels, maybe ballerina's like her daughter would be better. Lol.
ReplyDeleteWhy should she wear ballerina shoes when she looks good and is able to wear high heels.
DeletePrince Louis is the cutest of the 3 children. I hope he will keep his friendly face.
ReplyDeleteCatherine s'est inspirée d une tenue de ́la regrettée princesse Diana
ReplyDeleteCharlotte va être éduquée dans le paraitre
The Queen looks fabulous. I do wish Catherine wore a darker color. We got spoiled the last couple of years, but the dress is gorgeous, just pale. William looks handsome.
ReplyDeleteAA 15.23 booring ? Can't spell or can't be bothered to comment? Say something worth saying. It was the King's day full of tradition.Everyone is dressed for a midday event.
ReplyDeleteI like Sophie’s outfit the best - lovely dress with clean lines, beautiful jewelry (especially the brooch), and a pretty hat that isn’t over-the-top.
ReplyDeleteCamilla’s dress and hat are veering too much into costume territory for me. Her military brooch is gorgeous.
I would like Catherine’s hat better without the embellishment protruding from the underside of the hat. It’s a bit much. I think hats that are smaller and more vertical suit her face shape better than the large saucer-shaped hats worn with a low side bun, but maybe the larger hats give her more sun protection at these events. I generally do not care for her 1980’s style coats/dresses with white trim, and this one I additionally do not care for because the long, straight length with four rows of buttons makes her look overly-elongated. She and her children look very nicely color-coordinated.
The Duchess of Gloucester’s outfit is a rare miss for her, in my opinion. The ruffled collar with the netted hat seems overly fussy. She is usually a master of creative jewelry placement, but I don’t think the brooches (which are gorgeous) look quite right attached to the ruffled collar.

Style at it’s very best!
ReplyDeleteSimple, good cut and exquisite in the details and the matching of the accesories, making it in total harmony.
The make-up : modest but very good.
All Royal ladies, present here today know how that is done, with Catherine as the unmatched star.
Thqueen wears a very well made coat and jolly hat.
Sophie is on the safe site, and the Princess Royal, young as ever in her military riding suit.
What an Impressive “ show” of unity for King and country it was!
A nation is really blessed with someone having a position that represents it but has nothing to do with politics.
@ 18:55 Which style ?
DeleteSince we cannot see Sophie's dress in it's full length, it might be too long as usual, which will ruin the beauty of it.
From what I can see of the PoW's make-up, the eye make-up is much too dark as usual.
Queen Camilla ? What is this uniform represent ? None of the British royal ladies ever did intensive military service, but they have military titles "à volonté".
Toutes ces dames sont élégantes avec particulièrement l’allure de Kate qui a le regard
ReplyDeleteadmiratif de son fils Louis qui est toujours aussi mignon !
Oh how fabulous. I love particularly love Camilla’s outfit matching her husband and the event. And of course Catherine and her daughter are beautifully dressed. Catherine’s coat dress is, for me, the height of British glamour; not boring, not too pale, not outdated, simply lovely.
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly I love Sofie’s cream colored and well fitted dress. A big plus for Sofie today, as compared to past years. She and Charlotte look like pretty bookends on either side of the family on the balcony. Lovely and dignified Duchess of Gloucester - always a favorite. P.R. Anne quiet , reserved and strong in her uniform. POW looks lovely in her cloud blue uniform - same dress pattern as last year, only a different color, same style hat, but quite pretty. Last few years she plays it safe in a very predictable style - not the exciting, sophisticated fashion creations that we enjoy seeing in other royal ladies her age. But always neat and tidy, clothing that extenuates her long willowy frame.
