On June 5, 2026, King Carl XVI Gustaf, Queen Silvia, and Prince Carl Philip of Sweden attended an event at the House of Nobility (Riddarhuset) in Stockholm marking the 400th anniversary of the signing of the House of Nobility Ordinance.
During the evening, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, and Prince Carl Philip took part in a ceremony that included poetry readings and musical performances. The event was followed by a dinner held in the Marshal of the Realm's apartments, hosted by Mr. Patrik Tigerschiöld, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the House of Nobility.
The House of Nobility, the institution representing Sweden's nobility and knightly class, is celebrating the 400th anniversary this year of King Gustav II Adolf's signing of the House of Nobility Ordinance on 6 June 1626. Drafted by Lord High Chancellor Axel Oxenstierna, the ordinance provided the nobility with its first formal statutes, including a provision for the establishment of a House of Nobility.

As so often, Silvia looks terrific. She's such an elegant lady.
ReplyDeleteThe other lady looks a bit as if she's wearing a tent.
I think with movement that sheer cape would be captivating. The still photo can’t capture the daintiness and movement. I think a stunning dress that that lady feels so proud to wear, not a tent! Interesting how blues are so hard to capture / the different hues in the photos of Silvia’s dress are remarkable.
DeleteLa reine Silvia est vêtue d'une superbe robe dont j'adore la couleur !

Pienso, que la Reina Silvia, exhala elegancia, en toda su persona, no sólo en el vestir.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue gown on the Queen that is the perfect length. On my screen, the color changes from almost royal blue in the first photo to pale blue in the second, but it’s lovely either way.
ReplyDeleteQueen Silvia looks great in a simple, beautiful coloured dress with narrow sleeves.
