Queen Silvia Presents the 2026 Stockholm Prize in Criminology

On June 9, 2026, Queen Silvia presented the 2026 Stockholm Prize in Criminology during a ceremony at Stockholm City Hall. Upon her arrival at City Hall, the Queen was received by Anne Ramberg, Chair of the Foundation of the Stockholm Prize in Criminology. In the Blue Hall, the Queen presented diplomas to this year's laureates, Charis E. Kubrin and Mark W. Lipsey, both from the United States.

On June 5, 2026, Queen Silvia and Princess Christina of Sweden visited the King Oscar I Memorial Foundation's senior residence in Bagarmossen, in southern Stockholm. This year, the foundation is celebrating its 150th anniversary. The King Oscar I Memorial Foundation is a Swedish charitable organization founded in 1876 by Queen Sofia to support elderly, less fortunate, and deserving women.
