Queen Mary Visited Gavnø Castle for the Opening of a New Jewellery Exhibition

On Thursday afternoon, 18 June 2026, Queen Mary of Denmark visited Gavnø Castle, where she attended the opening of a new special exhibition hosted by her friend, Baroness Helle Reedtz-Thott. The exhibition was created in collaboration with jewellery writer Nina Hald and goldsmith Bodil Binner and will remain open to visitors until 15 November.

From 19 June, visitors will be able to see 33 spectacular head and hair ornaments, most of which were created especially for the exhibition by some of Denmark’s leading goldsmiths and jewellery designers. Baroness Helle Reedtz-Thott is the Director of the Gavnø Foundation. For the occasion, Queen Mary wore a new cotton-silk shirt midi dress by Zeus+Dione.

    I really like this. It’s almost a pity it’s a dress and not blouse and skirt so they could both be worn in different combinations.
