LykkeLiga is a national handball community for children and young people with disabilities. The league was founded by former professional handball player Rikke Nielsen, who was unable to find a handball team for her daughter Magda, who has Down syndrome. Today, more than 1,500 children and young people with disabilities, aged between 5 and 25, are active in LykkeLiga clubs across Denmark.

LykkeCup is Denmark’s happiest season finale and the absolute highlight of the year for LykkeLiga players, coaches, families, and supporters. More than 900 handball-loving children and young people take part in LykkeCup. In January 2026, LykkeLiga received a special donation from the Mary Foundation.

It's lovely to see Queen Mary interacting with these children and young people. She looks as though she's really enjoying herself, and looks great in jeans too!

QM participating in the fun, is fun to see.
I’m not a fan of wide legged pants/jeans. It unbalances the outfit.
