On June 2, 2026, King Frederik X and Queen Mary of Denmark arrived at the Port of Grenaa in Norddjurs Municipality aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog as part of the traditional summer cruise. Later that evening, King Frederik and Queen Mary hosted a reception for invited guests aboard the royal yacht in the Port of Grenaa.
For the reception, Queen Mary wore a cream blazer from Reiss's current collection, paired with a cream cutout-detail belted midi dress by the same brand.

Mary's dress is amazing. I admire the very interesting and unique design with the smaller pattern on the top which graduates to a larger pattern in the skirt.
ReplyDeleteA perfect dress for summer that also looks good worn with the blazer.
J adore la robe

QM is so elegant..as always and so much ❤️ in this last picture.
ReplyDeleteWouah, merveilleux ce style de robe ivoire ceinturée !
ReplyDeleteThis is classic QM. She can take none luxury brand items and make it look like they’re high end. I just love the dress. The way it sits on the décolletage, without gaping, even as her arms are folded. The cream jacket is just as lovely and compliments the dress perfectly. I love the added detail of the cream rose in her hair. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteLowri.
I agree 100%. She (and/or her assistents) excell in creating elegant outfits.
DeleteThese are quite high end items Lowri. They naturally pair together as they’re from the same design house.
DeleteA somewhat edgy dress with a more conservative jacket.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a great match.
A lovely updo with the cute flower completes the outfit.
Cate.
Agree!
DeleteThis time she seems to have a beautiful outfit. I didn't see the dress already so I think it is new. Of course it is difficult to judge because we cannot see the full length nor the shoes she is wearing. On the model the hemline looks uneven : longer in the back, which I do not like very much. The sleeves of the blazer are too long because they are rolled up. I have nothing against rolled or fold up sleeves, but not with a dress like this. One must also see how it looks with the blazer : "Is the blazer not too long to wear with this dress ?". There are a lot of questions which cannot be answered yet.
ReplyDeleteMary needs to give Catherine pointers
ReplyDeleteI had this same thought about the POW. I dream of her wearing an outfit with modern and sophisticated pieces. With her height and slim figure, she would be smashing!
DeleteTotally agree with both you and "Anon 17:42." Imagine the POW in this outfit instead of the red "I Love Lucy" dress she wore yesterday.
DeleteNah. Catherine has her own style and is always impeccable in it.
DeleteYes I agree
DeleteThe red dress was a special outfit in support of cancer sufferers. It is so sad when something like this is mocked through ignorance.
DeleteAgreed.
DeleteThe dress is really amazing: nothing that is identifiably "Summer 2026 fashion", no balloon sleeves, no cape solution, nothing, just a simple dress, the only extra being the cutouts - one can probably wear it in 10 years and it could have been worn 10 years ago ... maybe, a little length modification. And this, in my eyes, is the best fashion, and the most wearable (repeatable) fashion for royals. - I love the dress, adore the flower in her hair and the earrings. But: The blazer is not good with this dress or any dress, this is of course not only valid for Sophie, who does this kind of combination all the time, but also valid for Mary, who does not do it all the time.
ReplyDeleteThe best fashion for royals ? says who ?
DeleteNormally royals have a bigger budget to buy new dresses than commoners. Why would they dress the same like 10 years ago ? Do you think a dress like this can still be fashionable in 10 years ? I don't think so, therefore the cutouts are too special. A plain fabric can be transformed and adapted much more easily. Besides when royals and aristocrats are not buying new couture dresses anymore, the fashion houses can close their doors. Commoners do not have the money to buy their clothes there; So designers will have to work like average tailors in average fashion houses whose production is sold in average stores and boutiques. Less tailors will be needed in the future anyway, robots wil make not only cars like it is already now, but also clothes the same clothes all over again for everybody. If I was a royal I took the opportunity to buy beautiful and lovely fashion things as long as I could and as often I could.
15:04 I see what you’re saying ; choosing articles of clothing that last is a good idea. Agree!
Delete2108 not sure whether you like the outfit, but you know a royal can have a personal seamstress, they don’t need a design house for their clothes.
DeleteSuch an elaborate updo on Queen Mary. Wow. The dress is exquisite as well. So far, her great sense of fashion has been nicely displayed during this royal summer cruise.
ReplyDeleteWow what a great outfit.
ReplyDeleteLet a Love like this find me
ReplyDeleteSurely you’re joking!
Delete16:47 I agree. And17:01, no we’re not.
DeleteWonderful!
ReplyDeleteLOVE these two! And Mary looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteI want to know what made them crack up with laughter in the second photo. :D
ReplyDeleteFashion wise, they both look lovely.
Wonder who made the boo boo remark that made the king turn away laughing in photo 3
ReplyDeleteThis is very good tailoring, the single breasted jacket looks wonderful. The dress is so interesting and very appealing. I personally feel the jacket and dress work in well together. I love the addition of the cream rose in her hair, which looks beautifully groomed. Her earrings are unusual, effective, I like them. Lovely to see the royal couple engaging and laughing, great photos!
ReplyDeleteMary is a master of combining dress/skirts with jackets. Usually when other royals do it I don't like the combo, but with her is always a pleasant sight
ReplyDeleteLuna
I will go it alone again. Don't like this outfit at all.
