  1. The skirt is lovely but I not with that jacket. A top or blouse tucked in would balance the width of the skirt. There is too much fabric covering the skirt and it's not shown to it's best advantage.

Now these are very elegant outfits. I would love to see more detail of the sunglasses and kitten heels. Great looks!

I do not like the light grey skirt. My skirt was blue but, the pleats and cut remind me of my school uniform. Grey is a difficult color which I usually am trying to avoid for clothes. The reason is that I look much older in grey clothes than in any other colour. The lady in "coffee + milk" coloured pantsuit on picture N° 9 is looking very good.

    1. I agree with you on grey generally but I think this skirt looks good with the short jacket. It seems to have nice movement when she walks. I too avoid grey and even more so, beige. I've banned them from my husband's wardrobe too as they make him look years older.

Oh we are being spoilt now by daily photos of their voyage. The king is devastatingly handsome (according to me!) in his long naval jacket. Mary has coordinated her outfit to match his beautifully while also dressing practically for walking around a bit. The jacket is an excellent polyvalent jacket that suits the outfit super nicely … neatly tailored, short and without colour makes it such a sweet and practical jacket. I don’t normally find light grey interesting but paired with the jacket and blouse it’s very nice indeed. And of course once they change to casual outdoor clothes they’re somehow at their very best. What a cool king and queen they are!

I love the skirt + jacket ensemble, one of those short and simple jackets that complement a skirt or dress so well, the kitten heels give the correct level of informal elegance. And again, we have a typical Mary invention with the little multicoloured shawl bound around her hair/bun: grey skirt, white top, black jacket - and exactly this little accessory, the end of which can fall on to the front of the jacket and give it a colour splash, or can do the same on her back, makes the whole composition special and good (there are more pictures of how it looks on other sites).

Hmm is it grey or grey with a green/teal tint. Regardless it goes well with the jacket that quickly facilitates the change to pants. The king is obviously more comfortable in casual wear. Great outfits for the whole trip.
